Fox quickly calls up one of his friends in the Harvester's infantry. "Hey, Stephen, are you doing anything? ... Yeah, I thought not. I got a friend here who'd like to take a look at one of our Beckwood S2 AMs. Bring one down will ya? ... Well, I don't know if he wants to shoot it. Not like he could shoot it anything safely around here. Bring a clip of ammo though, so he can see the shells."

Fox stands up. "So, sir, we're..." He looks around at some of the new faces, some he barely knows and chooses his words carefully. "...going to be getting a "discounted" shipment? That's what I'd planned, and if you want to come along, that's fine by me, sir."

"Well, back when I was the new guy, Vagabond was still perfecting that little gadget. Mmm.." The Major picks up a mashmallow. "Mashmallow...." He practically swallows it whole.

Start a new thread for what? I'm confused as to what you're asking.

Fox quickly ducks the rubberband Slythis fired at him. "Okay, that's it, I'm outta here. I'll be outside with Stephen and Hunter, Sir Henry. I'll be ready to go anytime." With that, the Major hustles out the door before anything else comes flying his way.

Once outside, he sees Hunter leaning against the wall, but Stephen isn't around. "Where is that idiot?" he thinks out loud. Suddenly, one of the Harvester's Lyran built LPVs comes around the corner, and slows to a stop in front of the B&G. A tall blond man got out.

"Stephen, you drive like an old woman."

"And Fox, you shoot like a blind man. Pleased to see me?" Stephen smiles at Fox, who shrugs. "Not as much as I would have been had you been here on time. You got the rifle or what?"

Seeing that Fox is all bussiness, Stephen grabs a huge titanium rifle from the passenger seat. It's larger than any other stock rifle, but light enough to be carried one handed, if such a thing becomes necessary. The Major takes it and passes it to Hunter.

"These monsters will punch holes in any material I've ever come across. Gas operated magazine fed with a 4 round clip. Low recoil for fighting on the move, but you need to use the built in sighting equipment to get any decent shots. And it really narrows your vision. Huge bang, plus a big flash so don't miss. It fires these..." Fox holds up a 14.5mm armor-piercing discarding-sabot round. "Due to special Beckwood manufacturing, it'll take anything out. What's your current record, Stephen?"

Stephen begins singing to the tune of "12 Days of Christmas". "5 infantry commanders, 4 scouting jeeps, 3 light tanks, 2 helicopters and a BattleMech in a pear tree!"

Fox nods. "Anyway, perfomance does suffer a bit if you don't use Beckwood rounds. They have some sort of special chemical compound I don't even pretend to understand...anyway, it's supposed to make their bullets better at armor piercing." He hands Hunter a datadisk. "This disk has more information, if you want it."
