The doors barely part for a disheveled looking man in a ratty old trench-coat. His hair looking like he just rolled out of bed, with the unusual odor of Doritos and stale soda wafting off him. An unusual hitch in his walk and the forward stoop match that of one who hasn’t stood for hours. Only the most observant would notice the small jolly roger pin at the neck, his only identifying mark.

He crosses to the bar, and with the mark of a experienced barfly takes the most well-worn seat, the only one in the place where the large bar-mirror gives a full view of the place. The bartender gives a quizzical look as the man utters one word. “Stolichnaya”

The bartender rustles around behind the bar, then turns back to the customer putting a tall bottle down and mysteriously produces a shot glass from thin air. “I’m sorry, we haven’t seen any of that in years, but I have some Moskovskaya?”

“That’ll do, and leave the bottle... I just coded 46 hours straight of new web pages for a site, only to have the server it’s going on crap out 12 hours later, and I have no access to fix it.”

OC – Is that a good entrance?

It would be a great except that as the bartender here I can tell you with 100% certainty we have every alcoholic beverage commercialy available (and many that aren't)

Fox turns away from his karate training. "Greetings Mister..." He realizes the man has not stated his name and looks for a rank insignia. There is none. The Major stands, unable to decide if he should salute or not. He decides against it.

"I'm Major Joseph Garbo, of the Federated Suns. Call me Major, or Fox...or Joe, I guess, though I'm more partial to the first two. I'm the gopher around here, so if you need something, let me know. For the most part, I work for Sir Henry. But I'll let him introduce himself. If you'll excuse me, I'm coming off an injury, so I should return to my training."

Fox goes back to practicing his Federated-style Karate in a rarely used corner of the bar.

The stranger stirs in his seat. "So you do have it. Excellent! Got any JP-7? Just a drop for flavor, and to make it go down SMOOTH."

A loud growl passes from his stomach, so loud some others look out the door for a passing hovertransport. "You got any Ranger steaks, I wan't a big [expletive deleted], bloodier than a battle orchestrated by Sharon Bryan. Show the cow a cigarrete lighter, bash it's skull in, cut me off a slab and bring it..."

The stranger pauses, turning to face a fedrat Major.

*takes a seat next to the stranger and extends a hand* Paul Shepherd, second in command of Xun's Raider's Mercenarys. I just thought I'd advise you against eating too much of the food, going into the kitchen, or talking about the dreaded "M" Have a nice Day. *Slythis goes back to his usual table and kicks back drinking his sasparilla*

Coming from a side door, with the words "Private, High Voltage" printed on it...

G'day to ya Stranger, I'm the resident fix it man 'round here. The name's Sir Henry. The food 'round here is fine, if you can catch it, that is....

Joe, when you're finished getting beat up by a punching bag, I'll need some Tri-Vid Optical Connectors. Forget about the Welding rods, I found a box, it was holding up a table leg in here.... I welded the table to the wall, so I don't need it held up anymore....

Chihawk, any 'Behind the bar' Problems that need attention?

"Well, that's very stylish. I've seen the fedrat matches on Comstarnet, very pretty, but the Arkhab deathmatches are a bit more my style. That stuff actually useful for fighting or just good for staying in shape?"

The stranger gets up to shed his trenchcoat, revealing the blue jumpsuit with the gold piping of a navy officer. The uniform would almost be mistaken for that of the Lyran military if not for the flowing ascot and scarlet belt at the waist making it obviously that of a long dead and almost forbidden army. The uniform seems in almost new condition and is ammended only by the large skull and crossbones over the left breast. "Captain Helmsley, Rim Worlds Guards and Captain of the jumpship Dark Victory." he says, a bit louder than would probably be considered sane, hand outstretched in greeting.

*Shakes Captain Helmsley's hand before heading back to his seat* Hey everyone is welcome here. Just remember my previous warnings. Oh and for your own health, make sure you give lurch your guns, I've never personally seen what he can do to a person but it's probly not very pretty.

Ask the right people here and they'll tell you how.

"Well, coming off a head injury, I need to get my coordination back, and get to the point where I can tell my body to do something and it'll do it. I used to be better...but it is a useful millitary art, though those in the Draconis Combine claim it's not."

He turns and the small fox pin he always wears is visible. "I wasn't always a 'Mechwarrior, and when you get down to it, even injured, I can take of myself."

Fox goes back to his training. "As for martial arts...Arkhab deathmatches you say? I hope that's a figure of speech..."

After awhile, he stops and gets his cell phone form a nearby bag. Fox calls up his usual technology parts provider and gets to haggling. " Tri-Vid Optical Connectors...quick as possible...thirty minutes? Sounds good to me."

He knocks on the "Private - High Voltage" door. "Sir, I'll pick them up in thirty minutes. Should only be a ten minute trip, sir." Then, he returns to his training, having had a small break and accomplished (partly) his task both at once.

Not really necessary, I only really carry it because it's one of the few handguns that can take down an elemental with one shot...

It was designed to kill the machine people after all. It's pretty effective against 'mechs and even fighter craft as well. I've seen single shots from it damage dropships! (evil grin)

From the High Voltage room.....

Thanks, Joe. This will fix the Trinary system. Can miss the matches, battle of no battle...

deathshadow, Do you have prosthetics to compensate for the recoil??? It sounds like it would take your arm off.

I prefer Ares Manhunter. (OOC: anyone Recognize the reference?? Showin' my age...)

The Major doesn't look away from his training."I use a Beckwood Kodiak for personal armamnent. I really love the old revolvers and this magnum will punch holes in anything with great accuracy. When I need something for heavier jobs, I have a modified Federated rilfe. I have designs however for my own interesting version of the carbine, I just lack the skills yet to create it. Not much of a gunsmith."

OOC: Anyone who want's a visual aid for the Beckwood Kodiak should watch Trigun. Vash's gun was my original inspiration.
