"Thanks Ronin I would be eternaly greatfull if you did that .That thing cost 175,000 C-Bills to consrtruct and my insurance does not cover it. I just hope next time I can get to one of my mechs ,I wonder how hard it would be to clad a mech with 18-8 stainless that works pretty good against that acid crap."
"Hey Henry do you think that you would be able to shape that stuff so it could cover a mech I could come in usefull when they come back."
"Tell you what I would love to find out where they come from and take the battle to them .I would love to take "slicer" and cut up some of their facilitys with its two recipricating saws .See how they like getting their stuff tore up"

Shaping won't be a problem, BiMetallic Reactions will be.
If you plan to Layer it on to of Non Ferro Metallic armor, the places where it touches may be a pain.
It may start to generate a static charge and excelerate the Corrosion of the welds and/or the connected pieces... It's something to think about, The way a Mech Moves versus the way the Van Moves.... Joints and Apendage Movement.....
I'll think on it, and see if the Capacitor System might help to releive it.....

| 18-8 Stainless is pretty non reactive it resists most acid, salts ,and alkalies ,and is non magnetic I would thinkthat a light sheath would be able to resist just about any acid based attacks unless breached by weapon fire that could sure make it easier to fight the next attack since that would deprive them of their major weapon even if you could only do partial coverage it could certainly help I do not see a mechs skin being electrofied like the vans .but a stainless steel skin could sure help,I have seen all manner of matels attachedto 18-8 including but not limited to :high carbon steel.brass ,copper .aluminium, and lead.

"You've got it, Mo. I'll go up and get your sensor baloon as soon as I'm cleared for flight status in a few days."
"As far as finding where the monkeys came from, I can ask some of my friends over in ROM to look into it. It might take a while though, the last I heard they were tracking some Wobblies yammering about some damned jihad they want to do, or something like that. Come to think of it, I haven't heard from those guys in a bit..."

Suddenly, Joe grabs the cane from the side of the table and breaks it over his knee. "I've made my decision. I don't know where life goes from here, but I refuse to be a cripple. I'll work at getting back everything I had." He walks, around the table to the bar making a very concentrated effort not to limp as he walks. "As for repairing the damage, excerise will help, the NAIS is working on it, and if I get the resources, I can challenge the Jay Foxtrots for whatever medical tech they'll put on the line. Gotta love those clan trials."
"Chihawk, get me an AMP to go! I got things to do!"

*in a sudden but smooth motion that had not used since his days as a cadet, Ronin kicks back his chair and snaps to attention. Catching Joe's eye, he snaps the best saulte he can muster at the Major.*
"Sierra Hotel, Joe, Sierra Hotel. We're all here to help you in any way we can. All you have to do is tell us what you need from us."

Stinger stands there a slight smile playes across his face.
He watches Joe and Harewood walk past and follows Ronin in saluting.
"If you need anything let me know, I'll be there."

Ronin enters teh B&G, his flight suit dripping in sweat and reeking of avgas. He approaches the bar, and to everyone's amazement, he asks for a bottle of orange gatorade and a glass of water instead of his usual bottle of IBC Root Beer.
"Whew, it's hot up there!" he exclaims before taking a pull from the bottle of Gatorade.
He walks over to the table Mo is sitting at and takes a seat. "I finally got cleared for flight status again. It was great to knock the dust off of my wings, let me tell you. After I was through getting checked out, I rounded up a crew and we flew up to retrieve those sensor balloons for you. They're stored in Hangar Charley 12, and here's the passcode that you'll need to claim them." *passes a slip of paper to Mo*
"Sorry it took so long for me to get up there to retrieve them for you, but they don't look any worse for the wear. Thanks again for saving my ass back during the money battle."
OOC: I finally managed to get time, money, and weather to all cooperate at the same time, and I got checked out to rent aircraft at the local FBO here. It's all Cessna aircraft, too, btw.

Hunter wanders in to the B&G,orders up a Macallans 25, and ceremoniously packs and lights his pipe....
"Now...puff...what exactly happened to ground you and joe...puff, puff that I missed?"
Hunter attempts to light his pipe again and mutters under his breath"darn...packed to tight again....
Anyways....and what is up with this monkey talk.....I got a meeting with my armory buddie so keep it short....I am getting a rifle that will shear off the armour off'n anything!"

"If you want to know about the monkey wars, ask chihawk or one of the others who have been here longer than me. As to what happened to Joe and I..."
*Ronin orders a round of drinks for Hunter and himself, and trails off into the story, being corrected at various points by Mo and the others who also took part in the battle*
OOC: it's mostly in the Thread "MONKEYS!!!"

*Takes slip*
"Thanks I appreciate it .Hey you got in trouble in the first place trying to help me out I could not leave you after that.Joe appears to recovering to we had a little not so light kumate just before you got here he was looking pretty good,he was putting me under some pressure I am somewhat out of practice so my control might be a little off and the way he was pressureing me I was worried that I would loose a kick and have it hit him in the head, that would NOT be a good thing.
*Looks over at Hunter*
"You should be aware that some of the people here have a belief that the meer mention of that word could trigger an attack .It would appear that periodicaly hoards of simians show up and wreak havoc.I know it sounds silly but I can assure you haveing lived through it that it is anythng but .This guy here "*points at Ronin *"damn near got himself killed trying to help me during the early part of the attack Joe nearly bought it fighting a oneman delaying action while the defense got organized .You should have seen the mess they made of this place I think that this was one of the focal points of the attack.I think it might have something to do with some of the items on the menu.
