Missed more than one ( fixing now) for some reason the 60/65 tonners didn't go through. But I'll go and get them rated then everyone can complain to me about it. Next will be the 3050's

My poor fingers

Dude I couldn't disagree with you more after reading your Warhammer reviews. Obviously you are totally unfamilar with the design and it's variants.

I've read most of your reviews. While a lot of them are very precise, I get the feeling you've reviewed quite a lot that you've not actually used. Which makes people miss things.

Two things which Mordel hasn't put up are artwork and Battlevalue. Some designs (best examples are Rifleman, Cyclops and Stalker) suddenly look twice as good when put in relation to their points cost: So yeah, the Rifleman isn't the scariest front-line heavy 'mech, but when set next to top-end light 'mechs or low-end medium 'mechs (which are in its point range), it suddenly looks absolutely beautiful!

That's why I only review designs that I've used or faced, usually more than once.

Oh, and a last point: People, the small laser in the Awesome's HEAD is the icing on the cake! For a half-ton this nigh-on perfect design gets a great crit-sink! If you get hit internally (happens more often than one would like) in the head, there is a one-in-five chance that the cockpit gets hit. At any rate, something of value will be destroyed. The small laser pushes this fatality-ratio to one-in-six. And the chance that something fairly useless (the small laser) gets hit instead of the electronics is also one-in-six. So, I can't say anything against that small laser!

He does have a point on the Warhammer variants - the 6D has absolutely top armour for its frame. The 6R is the standard variant, so 18 HS are standard, which the 6L also carries......

I think this may be true about many of the reviews done by others too.

Which also means that the reviews become mere descriptions of what is on paper anyway. It would be much more interesting to read about personal experiences with the machines, about not-so-obvious quirks, about irrational likes and dislikes, about opinions on the looks of them.

That is, of course, very difficult when doing several reviews at one time. Lord knows, I was running empty after doing a couple, so I've stopped for a while.

Check my Firestarter review for personal feelings going over the paper stats. The design has been very good to me, though it is not impressive on paper. I remember when I first got the 4th Succession War BattlePack. Lotta good 'Mechs in it, the Wolfhound, Firestarter, Stalker, Liao Charger, and a special version of the Cataphract I still like better than the others, one with a LLas and SRM4 instead of a PPC.

( me thinks I sparked an intrest...) When reviewing the 3025's I did it in a simple fasion becouse they are so well know. I didn't go into detail for that reason. I have ran all at one time or another( regardless if i wanted to or not) so do know the in & outs of them. I am going into more things with the 3050's now becouse some ( belive it or not ) have not used them as much ( newbies...) and as I progress forward into the latest designs there will be more still. so there is a method to my madness, yet maddness none the less.
