Major Joseph Garbo's Solaris VII apartment was just like every other room he had across the galaxy reserved for his personal use. Messy. Stacks of data chips, hardcopy reports and various electronic parts were scattered around the rooms. A thin layer of dust stuck to everything.
The Major burst in and walked swiftly toward the black leather sofa in the middle of the main room. He removed the middle cushion to reveal a small keypad, where he entered his code: "777". Nothing seemed to happen, but the Major simply stood and walked into the sparse kitchen. He opened the refrigerator and pulled open the secret compartment in the back. Neatly hidden and until a moment ago, magnetically locked on it's own power source.
From inside the mini-safe the Major removed a datadisk, 3 mini grenades and a .22 pistol. The Major stowed them all in his FedSuns uniform jacket before closing the safe and fridge.
He returned to the sofa panel and entered another, different code. He was rewarded with an audible click. Finally, after restoring the sofa cushion, the Major left his aparment to take care of the first errand on his list.
"A) Meet Comstar contact and get "unavailible" simulator scenario and update software."
OOC: I was once asked for more detail about how the Major "acquires" his equipment for the bar. Therefore, I've got a whole little thread devoted to today's errnads.  Enjoy. Feel free to pester him on the street if you like. lol

I see a Volunteer from the Bar and Grill ahead... As he walks by... I spray him with a blueish Foam... which immediately disappers...
It Works!!!! On FedCom Brightwork.... Now where is a Capellean??
I run off into the crowd looking for a Capellan....

The Major stares after the scientist running along the street with a confused look on his face. The he starts walking back down the street. "Only on Solaris VII..."

The Major walks down the street toward the meeting point with his contact, in no particular hurry. The Black Hills district of Solaris VII slowly gave way to the International district. Joe stops into a corner store and quickly picks up a newschip, then heads back out toward the Comstar HPG.
Once inside, he goes to the front desk. "I'm looking for Demi-Precentor Mathis." The woman behind the desk hits a few keys and smiles up at him. "I'm sorry, the Demi-Precentor is out right now. You can either wait or come back later?"
"I'll wait. He won't be long." The Major walks back to the loddy and sits down, browsing through the top stories on his newschip while the clock ticks away. After about 15 minutes, a blonde haired Comstar Demi-Precentor walks through the doors and over to the front desk. After a short stop there, he comes back over to the Major.
"Major Garbo, I hadn't expected to see you."
"I have a small proposition for you, Demi-Precentor. Can we speak in your office?"
The blonde haired man nods, and leads the way back into the Comstar Facility. A couple of times the Major is nearly searched and disarmed, but each time the Demi-Precentor waves away the over-zealous guards.
At his office, Matthis sits behind the desk while the Major remains standing. "I take it you are here because you have some interesting which you assume is of value to me. What is it this time Major? Rumours of Word of Blake's agents?"
"Better, the confirmed identity and location of one of their Solaris VII ROM members. You can easily tail him with the information I have."
Matthis taps his fingers on the desk. "And would you want for that information, Major?"
"I found this information on accident, rather than on purpose. This particular agent is sloppy. Anyway, all I require are the new Comstar simulator software updates and scenarios. They would be quite useful."
A puzzled look crosses the Demi-Precentor's face. "That's all?" The Major simply shrugs and removes the chip he got from his safe from his jacket.
"It's all right here. Do we have a deal, Demi-Precentor?"
"I'll need to verify the information...but then I can have the disks with all the information delivered to you."
The Major puts the data disk he was carrying down on Matthis's desk. "Good, take your time with the info. When you have disks with the programs, deliver them to Mordel's bar and Grill. A man named Sir Henry should be there to take them. I'll see you again should I find anything useful for you, Demi-Precentor." The Major leaves the office and dodges security back out into the main streets.
Two down, two to go.

While out running errands of his own, Alexx spots Major Garbo coming out of the Comstar Facility.
"Hey Major how ya doing? Everything ok, I saw you coming out of ComStar, but not by the front door. Any luck getting the new Simulator updates from them? I may be able to help, as I have a few friends in ComStar myself." Alexx asks, hoping that no one has found out about his other employer. . .

The Major doesn't blink at Alexx's sudden appearance. "Oh hello, Alexx. No, I have a give and take relationship with Comstar. I give them what they want and take what I need in return." The Major falls into step beside Alexx. "So what brings you to the International District today?"

"Me carry grudges, no!" If I did then Rguer and a few other Crimson Janassaries would not be laughing so much anymore. Actually, in this case, is about protection and survival. With, a little revenge and justice thrown in for good measure. Ya see this guy and his associates made it a habit to use small merc units some years back, and got a lot of them killed. Those they couldn't bully or coerce into cooperating 'they took care of.' A lot of people I cared about payed the ultimate price for sticking up for themsevles, which is how I ended up with the CJs. And when he tried to do the same thing to us, well lets just say, he wasn;t too pleased with the results. We though we took care of him, but it looks like he is rearing his ugly two-faced smiling face again." Alexx pauses for a minute as he contemplates the years since his father's death, then adds quietly, "But no I don't hold grudges . . ."

The Major stops, as does Alexx after a few steps. The Major stares into Alexx's eyes. "You are holding a grudge. I will say that killing this man won't ease any pain you feel. On the other hand..." The Major leans his head back, and for the first time a small fox pin is visible, marking him of one the Federated Suns Rabid Foxes. "This man has apparently been praying on honet mercenaries. I was one, less than a year ago. Revenge is not a good reason to hunt someone. Prevention however, I can agree with. If you tell me more I can help you perhaps."
The Major sighs and whispers more to himself than anyone else, "The problem with killing someone is not to let it get personal...which it almost always does anyway."

Notcing the Major unique pin Alexx responds, "Thanks Major, I'll have to get back to you about that. I appreaciate the offer, but I'm not sure what help you can be. This 'guy' is not one to be taken lightly. The CJs have dealt with him in the past and survived we can do so again."
Alexx pulls out his noteputer and jots down a quick reminder to his list:
1) 2030hrs: appointment concerning Family Exterminator
2) Aquire more infantry armor for MSgt Lane
3) Friday 1230: King's Buccaneers Stable
4) Birthday present for little AJ
NEW 5) Talk to Ruger about Maj. Garbo's offer!!!

The Major nods. "Well, anyway, best not to dwell on that unpleasantness. Have a nice day Alexx." The Major begins walking back toward his aparment in the Black Hills. "I wonder when Sir Henry is going to get those disks? Matthis is always so slow."
"Once back at my apartment, I can order those parts for Sir Henry. After dark falls, I can aquire my field generator parts."

Geo is walking slowly doen the street, carrying a large box of parts for his Warhammer, he he spots the Majot walkinmg down the street, muttering something about field generator parts.
"Hey, Major. What you doin' here?"
The Major stops, hearing the voice, but keeps staring at something, lost in thought.
"Hello... anybody home in there?"
Begins snapping fingers and waving hand in front of the Major's face...
"I hope he doen't try to break them like the last guy" Geo mutters to himself, still waving and snapping.

The Jade Dragon is enjoying a spin in his new HSC-91 Sport Stingray Corvette stype Hovercar, complete with flaming paint and leather interior, when he spots some of his Mordellian buddies chatting on the sidwalk. With a few well praticed movements he brings the speeding hoversport to a dime like stop at the curb.
"Anybody need a lift?"
After all, if you are going to run errands, you might as well do it in style.
