Ok, another thread inquiring about unit paint schemes has got me thinking about taking out my digital camera or scanner and posting the pages of the old Camo Specs booklet on my website.
Since this is a very OOP pulblication (1988) that is very unlikely to ever be reprinted and since I will of course charge no money for looking at it, can I expect a nasty lawyer letter and if so can I just ignore it if it comes?

Probably not. From what I have seen, FanPro is currently not actively searching out for stuff like that. But to be safe, I'd suggest that when you take the iamges, go into some sort of image program on your computer and insert into the image a credit line to the book and to the company.
For example, go on over to www.yojoe.com or a similar site and you'll find that the site has placed its name in just about all the images from the site so that people don't use their images.

Should you expect a "nasty letter"? I'd say you probably won't get one.
Should you ignore it if you do get one? Only if you want to cause trouble for yourself...

You're not taking the whole book, just pieces, so I doubt it's an issue.

| Why don't you try shooting a message over to WizKids, and see what they say. Considering how they responded when asked for permission by battletech.ca, you might end up with a positive answer.

hmmm, i've posted the whole book in its entirety in my gallery over at creationsnet.com
its not even getting that many hits so it should be fine.
but a word of advice, should you get a nasty letter, don't ignore it.
how much are you looking for the book?
i doubt i'd pick it up from you unless its ridiculously cheap though....
