Ok, this post is a bit different. Here's the art for a custom mech. I have two sets of stats for the art. As I've said on the main CBT site, I tend to do the art first, then stats to match the art.

And it is definitely a fat 'mech! Curious to know what the big guns on the top are? PPCs? Gauss Rifles? ACs?

I have two ideas so far for stats, both are command units: one is a variant of the Sirocco (a 95 ton quad), the other a 135 ton superheavy omnimech. (I need to rework the artwork for the superheavy omni. it's not fat enough). Both cases, though, mount three ERPPCs in the turret and the heat dissipation to use them.

I normally do the modeling in metasequoia, and use Blender for the rendering. But I was feeling lazy, so I rendered it in DOGA L3.

Very nice indeed!
If you need any advice on scaling for 3D printing, let me know  I have a really good method set up to make minis scale well for 3D printing.
Also, shapeways has drastically decreased their price for ultra-detail prints, as an FYI

Thanks for the tip, but right now I won't be doing any 3D print work ( no time, no money, almost no free time from work  ). That will change at some point in the future

So I finally got around to writing up the stats for this beast. The idea is a command unit, so the majority of configurations favor long range capability. The omnimech does, nevertheless, have enough podspace to effectively support its lancemates or defend itself from headhunter units.
