True. BT could have this tied to eras or tech levels.

This limit has been in place during the Sucession Wars due to limited factory capacities, but I don't remember it being in place after the Grey Death core started to kick the technology forward again (asi it was specifically said to contain info on things like genetically altered crops and factory plans that would allow faster reconstruction of formerly defunct sites and construction of new ones).

The powers that be increased production during the Clan Invasion but still kept it restricted in comparison to real life. By the Jihad, if I recall right, the Houses had mostly just rebuilt their SL Era factories with a few news one. And equally, their military forces were mostly back up to 1st SW Era sizes if not a bit bigger given the SL restrictions. Even then, the House forces regularly lost a lot of forces in skirmishes vs the Clans (DCMS vs Bears, Operation Bulldog) and in the House fights (Chaos March, Liao Civil War, FC Civil War, Etc.).

Still what were the capacities of SL factories? I think we could assume increase of production capacity tenfold from SW era and still be within severely limited area given a multiple planets spanning empires. CBT seriously needs to take account of human ability to procreate rapidly IMO Rolling Eyes

I think this might not take into account that CBT universe is much closer to Star Wars than to reality. SL heavily terraformed planets and there are even planets that have coal mines. For heaven's sake coal mines! That mean a lot more planets are habitable and supporting their own life way before SL even came. Heavily overpopulated would probably be only the old worlds, like New Earth, and house seats, like Luthien and New Avalon IMO, while others could still have a ton of space for more rapid growth.

I think we still didn't see all of SL wonders, large scale transports made from decommissioned warships, more akin to Ghost Bear Leviathan, that could be able to move really large populations.
