==Overview:==
The Dreadwake is considered to be an engineering nightmare, while it has
impressive firepower it is not know to be remotely user friendly nor easy to
repair. The cost alone is enough to send most military procurement officers
into the nearest drinking establishment and a very large drinking bill
following.

First seeing combat following the rise of the Word of Blake and their
misguided efforts to restore Terra's rightful place as the center of mankind
and knowledge of enlightenment in an other wise bleak universe, the Dreadwake
actually ended up fight against those who created it.

Not exactly my cup of fussionaire. You don't have to do anything more than move and shoot. Heat is not an issue and you have to be pretty close to use all the weapons, so charge, charge circle around till it dies and hop that you don't get flanked?

The same could be said about every single mech in the game. Wasn't going for the new version of the wheel.

Actually this reminds me a lot of the Atlas in this respect. Maximum armour and heat-less wepon mix lensd itself to this playstyle well. It's just that you don't have to decide what to fire and practically forces you to get close if you want to utilise your arsenal. Upclose it's pretty strong, but in ranged fight you have to rely on your armour mostly. The AC kicks in at medium range, but you have to stand and aim or get within 10 hexes with a regular pilot. I like to cycle weapons and make some choices, juggle with the heat a bit. The Dreadwake is a bit too strightforward for my tastes. Plus my flanking note was more directed at the lack of weapons able to fire outside of the front arc.

I agree. It would do well for this to have an LRM/10 w/ 1t ammo. I'd pull 5t from HS and 1t armor.

I agree with my Dragon friend of the Sleeping clan. This machine to be truly impressive needs more weapons and fewer heat sinks, it is rare such is said in the BattleTech universe.

That being said, I do think this machine has a role to fill that of the anvil. Let this machine take the point of the attack, let your foe use it for target practice as it closes first while the rest of your lance/company holds back a bit. This Mech should be able to soak a ton of damage, let it, while those machines with less armor and more weapons use it as a shield and pound the enemy in return. This Mech gets flanked, so what, that is where the rest of your force turns the flankers into sludge.
