OK folks, to drum up some conversation I'm tossing this out there.
Tomorrow (7/27) is the "almost annual" HorhiroCon, the summer gathering Mordel and I (and a few others) head out to for some BattleTech and BBQ. One of the scenarios we'll be playing has us bringing in two 'Mechs (Inner Sphere, up to 3067) with an individual max BV2 of 1500 (pilot/gunner adjustments are allowed but nothing worse than 5g/6p). We will randomly get to play one of the 'mechs while the second will be randomly handed to another player (and we'll be getting a random pick from one of the other player).
I've already selected my 'Mechs and will post them later...but which ones would you choose?

After much debate and searching, I decided upon:

Both are proven or seem fun.

I have found that 3/4 units fighting 4/5 units can be hard pressed under BV. The BV multiplier just hurts.
Lord forbid a 5 to 8k fight with a 2/3 or better pilot. Yah you hit a lot, but you lack the armor to stay.

I went with the Centurion CN10-B and the Enfield END-6Q, both 3/5. The Enfield was taken away and I got a stock Hunchback (3/4).

Because of my slow speed (4-6) and the battles being away from me it took me a while to close, but I made a nuisance of myself with the longer ranger weaponry on the Centurion as I closed and then went 3 for 3 with the AC20 when I got close enough to use it.

A couple funny things...every 'mech in the battle that was hit by an AC20 got at least one to the left arm, and every prone 'mech that was kicked got hit in the legs.
