I was playing some Megamek on my friends server, and the nation/group I chose for the server is very vehicle heavy. I noticed that many of the vehicles I possessed were in my judgement very poorly designed. I lacked a MBT that could really take the fight to the field so to speak. The Tiget T-12 does a really decent job, but it is still more lightly armored than i'd want in an MBT. Thus I designed this little toy.
I'd prefer a LB 10-X as the main gun, but the Large Laser works well with the 10 free heat sinks.
It has standard mobility, decent range on its weapons, and a good amount of armor (double that on the Tiger T-12).

Why is it showing heat for the weapons like the missiles? Vehicles don't pay heat cost for those.

I think its carry over from the Mech programming. It shows it, but does not account for it when determining heat sink requirements. Only calcs for true energy weapons (excludes vehicle flamers and chemical lasers).

I actually put both as a test. I see 2 variants: lrm and srm.
i chose both as they share identical weights.

Well, you can also remove one of the launchers with associated ammo and go for a PPC and Heat Sink. Of course you need one more, but you could get that from armour

it could yes. dunno though, a PPC on this would have the punch, but i just don't know about that minimum. This version could pull urban duty pretty nicely. And i find ppl hunt units with PPCs, AC/20s, and Gauss. Large Laser tend to get ignored on the 'OMG, kill it quickly' scale.

Well, ERLL could do it then. I'd think that with 13 tons of armour on 50 ton tank getting enemy attention is part of the plan
