==Overview:==

In an ironic twist of fate, while the Word of Blake first coerced Quikscell's
Terran branch to begin work on the King Scorpion, it would be the New Terran
Hegemony that would benefit the most from the design. While the new design
might have turned the tide against the NTH forces during their liberation of
Terra, problems with re-arranging the interior to account for the new fusion
engine delayed the design by a full month, time enough for Quickscell's Terran
operations to be liberated. This gave the NTH forces an immediate (if limited)
supply of new tanks to replace those damaged or lost during the fighting.
Since then, however, all of Quickscell's branches have put the design into
production. 

==Capabilities:==
The biggest difference between the King Scorpion and the regular Scorpion -
aside from price - is the decision to use a fusion engine. This allowed the
AC/5 to be replaced with a PPC, giving the tank the ability to remain in the
field for extended periods of time without concern for either fuel or
ammunition. The transition and the swap left enough tonnage on the frame to
allow for the addition of an SRM 2 rack (to make killing other tanks easier),
another 1.5 tons of armor (to make killing the King Scorpion harder), and a
small bay for a handful of soldiers. 

==Deployment==
King Scorpions are produced at a rate of 1 per every 5 regular Scorpions, as
per the original production plans demanded by the Word of Blake. This
distribution allows for mixed-unit armor platoons, with the King Scorpion
serving as the command track.
