I can supply TRO templates for word, and obviously do some writing.
We'd need someone with layout skills, though.

I was gonna post an example of what I meant above. Turns out I can't attach docs or pdfs on this forum!
I'm going to look around to see if some of the CGL volunteers could aid with the final doc layout. Maybe even at a (small) fee? We'll see...
Also, if we want this to be realistic, I'd say first aim at something small. Maybe XTRO sized, but no larger than one of the factional PDFs from the 3145 series. So either 13 or 25 units.
The elephant in the room is obviously art. Once again, I can try to "shop around" my contacts, but I doubt I can scrounge any amount of freebies. And that then becomes very expensive very quickly.
Another case for 13 units, then!

Also. As of right now: 1,243 custom units in the TRO section.
How do we select? Most memorable units (as in this case, for me), highest rating (hey, this unit actually appears on the first page ), own units of designers?
Probably an organic mix of the three, right?

I'd say a mix of the three.

I'm all for this. But with two thread necromancies, it may be time for this to have it's own official thread!

True that.
So quickly back on topic: when doing some design searches along the parameters, I used these filters:
- custom units
- rating in descending order
and then watched for
- Tournament Level (or above)
- Clan Invasion and later
- non-derivative of existing units
So funny thing. This unit is the first hit. That's serendipity right there.
It's also SaberDance's only design submission. Whoa.
Also Mordel, because I wanted to try that out in this thread. Per our prior chat, here are the currently allowed Extensions of attachments:
- Heavy Metal (.hma, .hmb, .hml, .hmp, .hmv)
- Images (.gif, .jpeg, .jpg, .png)
.doc, .docx, and .pdf would be hugely useful for this endeavor!

I'll add an enhancement request to have *.pdf, *.docx and *.xlsx file support for attachments. I'd prefer to avoid using the *.doc attachment due to potential secutiry concerns with it.

I'd second that making it a mix of the three, although we might have to rewrite some fluff to make it somewhat coherent.
