In the game, I'm able to use Clan-tech weaponry.
Due to the inherent weight savings, in addition to the PPCs and the Gauss I've got five ER Medium Lasers instead of three, and that single 5 is actually an LRM 10 and an LRM 15. All of this is backed up by an anti-missile system.

DROP THE lrm/5, A ML, AND ADD A srm/6 W/ 1T AMMO.
next rear mount the twin ERML.

Mixed tech is not an issue in HMPro. He just needs to adjust the tech level and pick it. Then he can use the Clan weapons on the Inner Sphere frame or vise versa or mix it all up as he wants or like we see in every new TRO post 3065

Personally I don't think the Atlas has ever needed to go through such loops or to stay relevant or even formidable on modern day battlefield. Even Atlas III looks rather crappy compared to the potential the chassis has.
