Just to weigh in on one thing, you could use the OS Thunderbolt missiles, that is a 10 point damage missile for 1 ton.

Where does this come from? Improved OS launcher is still just 0.5 ton lighter, so iOS Thunderbolt 5 would be 2.5 tons...

The OS Shot T-blot is from UNBOUND, it is/was single 10 point hit missile. Stats are in HMPro and HMVee as well as the UNBOUND book.

I never suggested improving it or anything of the like, I said you could use it as the missile system for this vehicle.

Below is a quick vehicle I tossed together to show you the weapon

Which has 10 points of armor damage plus 15 heat to the target, builds up 6 heat (though that matters not for vehicles) Range is 5/10/15

www.sarna.net/wiki/Thunderbolt_Missile

i like it, BUT a 30t VTOL gets 11 spaces. 1 for the main gun, leaving 10 for missiles. If you use this up to the capacity of AH-64 then you used 8 slots leaving 2.

you could use the dual, tri, and quad mount rules in PTRO/1945 to quad mount these missiles.

My method kinda used this but added an extra critical for mechs at quad and kinda balanced them by using the the Rotary ROF rules.

so an update:
Thunderbolt Missile
Hardpoint 0 heat 10 dmg 0/5/10/15 (medium) hexes 2 hp 0 crit
OS x1 6 heat 10 dmg 0/5/10/15 hexes 1t weight 1 crit ROF x1
OS x2 6 heat 10 dmg 0/5/10/15 hexes 2t weight 1 crit ROF x2
OS x4 6 heat 10 dmg 0/5/10/15 hexes 4t weight 2 crit ROF x4

Though two quad mounts would tear the Thunderbolt/10 a new one. TB/10 w/ 1t ammo is 8t, 3c, and 6 shots. That is 1 crit and 2 shots less.

Maybe...
Thunderbolt Missile
Hardpoint 0 heat 10 dmg 0/5/10/15 (medium) hexes 2 hp 0 crit
OS x1 6 heat 10 dmg 0/5/10/15 hexes 1.5t weight 1 crit ROF x1
OS x2 6 heat 10 dmg 0/5/10/15 hexes 3t weight 2 crit ROF x2
OS x4 6 heat 10 dmg 0/5/10/15 hexes 6t weight 3 crit ROF x4

This way 6 missiles is 9t, 4c, and 6 shots.

however, the first could be used stating that less fuel, less casing, a different sensor, and less heat shielding resulted in a lighter missile.

And the warhead does more dmg do to its more concentrated explosive force. The LAA as an air-to-air missile produces an explosive force over an area via proximity detonation to better insure a hit. A air-to-ground missile is more concerned with defeating the armor then insuring a hit on an agile target.
