This unit here is designed to be a heavy direct-fire fire support mech for the Word of Blake.

The idea is that the mech can use its AC/2 and ER Large Lasers to engage from range, wearing away opponents. Anyone who closes will have to stare down four ER Medium Lasers, two ER Small Lasers, and four SRM 4 launchers. C3i was added so that it could participate in a C3 network.

Nice, it would make for a great long range fire support. and an excellent city fighter. a good all around mech.

Definitely a good close range brawler, and not entirely incapable at range. XL engine may be a weakness, but it's understandable that you want to go faster.

==Overview==

Designed as a heavy-end fire support mech to supplement the Grand Crusader, the Justicar was originally supposed to be fielded during the initial phase of the Jihad itself, with high-level front-line commanders being given the decision between it and a Grand Crusader. However, production was delayed significantly when an AFNN commando team discovered one of the original two factories and captured it, in the process destroying several early prototypes.

==Capabilities==

The plan was to produce a mech that could stay one step ahead of most mechs its size while still possessing enough firepower to reduce a light mech to a pile of slag in a single volley should the need arise. In both senses, the Justicar fit the bill, albeit just barely. Its AC/2 allows it to plink targets from range, wearing them down until such time as it can get in range to use its array of lasers. However, the one drawback of having so many energy weapons on a mech at once is that heat becomes a major concern, and the Justicar is no exception; pilots will have to use this ability judiciously.

==Deployment==

In an ironic twist, both the Word of Blake and the AFNN got their respective Justicar factories up and running in enough time for the mech to participate in the second phase of the Jihad. However, while the bulk of the AFNN Justicars only served within a few jumps of the factory due to transit difficulties, the Word of Blake fielded their Justicars across a full quarter of the Inner Sphere and made plans to ship mechs to the rest of it. Unfortunately, however, Operation Sucker Punch had begun in full by this time, and so few Justicars from either faction made it into the former Draconis Combine until well after the Blakist forces had largely been rolled back.
