As for the 4 large lasers, they will easily do 32 points of damage but i would prefer 3 PPCs. The heat build up will be more managable at least plus u still have free tonnage for other things.
3 PPCs weigh one ton more than 4 LL. By the time you delete 1 DHS to make room, the heat penalty will be the same (30 vs 32 heat).
