Ah the good ol' Urbanmech, the Inner Sphere's crappiest design. Just the sight of this mech alone probably gave the clans the confidence that they could invade and defeat the Inner Sphere. In case you've never seen one, the Urbanmech presents an intimidating sight. Imagine R2D2 if he was somehow made into a battlemech, or a walking trash can. The urbanmech has the exact same combat utility as the SRM carrier: hide it (or them) somewhere, hope the enemy doesn't discover you, and ambush them with your disposable unit. However unless you opponent is an idiot or you spring the mother of all traps this mech is basically just target practice for the enemy.

Maybe that the Urbie is of little value on the field, but it isn't home there. The UM-R60 should be fielded as a defensive unit in cities, canyons, heavy forests and other highly restrictive terrain. Soon you'll discover that multiple AC/10s pointing your way are far from laughable. The trick isn't in hiding the Urbies in the only concentration of higher hedge on the map, but fielding it on the map filled with such terrain. Park some LRM carriers somewhere around and suddenly you have a group of little heavy hitters who can spot for heavy missile support. Even heavy 'Mechs can't deal with this for long. Cost is the main factor to consider here.

By this I don't want to argue about the rating or your opinion, but I'm just trying to defend this underestimated little pest.
