Overview:
" Well, it is fast, that's for sure" A collective gasp went up from the spectators at the Ground Zero proving grounds. The machine in question had just ignited jumpjets and lept half way across the field in a single movement. " And mobile, too" replied another. " What's with the sensor array sticking up like that? Looks like it has rabbit ears or something". Mark Stonkin just smiled to himself. He had designed the mech to have just that visual effect. the slender limbs, the bounding movments, and amazing jumping capability of the mech in question were all carefully contrived to garner the image of a wild hare loping through the desert. "Gentleman, I would like to introduce the latest release from Ground Zero Salvage and Technology. Say hello to the Lago."

Capabilities:
Initially dubbed Jack Rabbit, the Lago has gone through several changes in development. Initially a 25 ton scout design, it mounted no real sophisticated sensor packages and two torso mounted medium lasers for defense. It was as fast as a Locust and could jump as far as a Spider. Stonkin reviewed the design, then made several adjustments. The speed and mobility of the mech were not changed, as these were deemed crucial to help the mech achieve its goal of intel gathering and infiltration. The tonnage was increased to accomodate a larger XL engine, and an active probe and advanced ECM suite were also included in the design. Though the mech's appearance is a bit odd, test pilots have claimed the ride is " smooth as silk" and much more stable than other four legged machines or even most two legged designs. The Lago still mounts two forward firing medium lasers as well as a head mounted flamer, located on a pintal mount under the cockpit. A small laser is mounted to the rear to provide quick getaway coverage. Trials have been favorable, with the Lago outperforming, or on the level with mechs of it's weight class, and mission profile. Though it is not as fast as the Fey mech, and does not pack the sophisticated equipment of the original Fey design, it has more fire power and mobility than the stock Fey and is projected to out sell other GZT scout designs.

Configuration / Variants:
there are no variants for the Lago at this time. One has been suggested, though. It would replace the flamer and laser weapons payload with a single STREAK 2 and ammo with CASE. Designers have decided this variation would detract from the Lago's current ability to work for extended stays away from supply lines due to it's dependence on ammunition.

Battle History:
No recorded battle history as of yet.

Deployment:
The Lago has seen limited use with Stonkin Mechs, Inc 'merc unit while pirate hunting in the Taurian Concordant. All reports have been favorable.

Impressive anti-infantry/vehicle mech.

Well done, fluff is very good as well.

Great fluff. You get a feel of the visuals and function.

The loadout is good but I play with sensor packages a little, drop one and see what you can do with weapons.

Do check the armor, you have 13 on the arms and I think max is 12.
