It just occured to me that I have never even looked at the game, let alone play it. but I thought maybe I should be a tad more legit and make a charecter based on the Mechwarrrior RPG. Now....I dont want to go out and BUY anything, cause I am lazy like that....but does anyone know of any sites that have any of the following:
1) A charecter creation program, sorta like Drawing Board, but for peeps?
2) A listing of creation rules, class definitions, affilition limitations, etc.
3) A list of creation rules...plain and simple.

I finally learnt how to make a character, and I have to post a walk through of the character creation process some day. And yes, a program would be a nice idea.

After Rick Raisley finishes HMAero the next program is going to be HMWarrior, so there will be a quality program in the near future.

i think you should buy this.
you should also get 2nd edition.
way easier to learn and much smoother game system.
i'm pretty sure that somebody here will be more than happy to help you out with it.
myself included.

There is a program out there for 2nd edition, but not yet for 3rd. 3rd was intended to promote balance and make using/abusing the rules harder to do; as a result, it's decidedly more complicated.

not just a little bit, but much MUCH more complicated.
when i build my characters in 3rd, i've got multiple "excel" windows open and scrap paper all around me.
with 2nd, i could do it in my head and scribble down the stats on my walk home from school
