I wanted to see how far I could get on an energy-only platform. Turns out, not as far as I wanted.
It's big, it's expensive, but it's well armored and faster than any canon ship of similar size. Add to that it's ability to project most of it's firepower out to extreme range and I think it stacks up favorably to most other ships.
