Hi all, long time no post.

I am cleaning up my minis and getting ready to sell, seeing as how I no longer play. A few of my minis I painted years ago, and given the crappy job I did I figure it diminishes their value. So do any of you have any pointers for properly removing paint from the old lead minis and restoring them to almost-original condition? Just bathe them in turpentine, or is there a better/preferred method?

I've found a good cheap method of paint removal on minis to be plain old Zippo lighter fluid. cleans 'em right up.

I recall using straight-up Lestoil. Especially on plastic minis as it doesn't melt them.

As it should be. It would have been a shame if the ol' org. had been taken over by some less worthy group, like Marik or wobbies.

A lot of my material is spread out over some of my relatives houses, so I need to collect it before I can give a comprehensive list. I probably will not have the stuff ready to sell until early September. I have a lot of the old stuff, including some of the original House books, War of 3039, etc. When I get organized and ready to sell I'll PM you.

It depends. Did you use varnish on them after finishing the paint job? That stuff is a bit harder to remove than model paints, but soaking in your preferred brand of solvent is generally enough.

Assuming they are metal, I use jell-type paint removers like BIX Original Stripper or Strypeze.
