OK,
So related but different question:
Are the DHS's overkill for the modifications stated above?
Max heat generated for my reconfiguration: 14
Max heat generated with 2 streak launchers: 13
Max heat generated in my preferred mode (the one I decided against): 18
What is the cost differential? Is the increased cost worth it?

Streak variant costs:
With DHS: 2 228 750
With SHS: 2 153 750
Standard SRM variant costs:
With DHS: 2 178 750
With SHS: 2 103 750
The cost speaks for standard SRMs, but I'm not sure how this would affect the decision on the long run.

Cost isn't the whole issue that I am considering and asking for opinions about. Dont' for get the first question in my post:

In other words is their use justifiable?
Thanks for helping with the money differentials, I hadn't had time to run it through TDB and I think that HMP probably does it more accurately (TDB is good enough for me at the moment).

So, to the DHS... I think that they may be justified, because they would allow you to use all your weapons at once, protect the ammo (they take up a lot of space in side torso locations) and allow the mech to stay in fight after engine hit (not that good idea, but it may be handy  )
SHS on the other hand cost a little less, will restrict the use of weapons (not so much) and are easy to obtain (for TC this may be an issue even in 3067).

I think the Streak variant can go well with single heatsinks but the standard SRM variant will need DHS´s very much to use its firepower.

DHSs or standard laser, but we want to stay with the ER weapon, so yes
