------------------------------------------------------------------------------
==Overview:==
First used by the Star League, these Mechs provided Construction/Demolition
ability to a company.

==Capabilities:==
At 15 tons the LCM-15a is fast, agile, and just heavy enough to do its
assigned work. The Front End Bucket is usually seen on vehicles, though the
LCM makes use of it effectively. Made of lightweight durable alloys, the
Buckets weight on the Mech reflects its load capacity (much like cargo bays),
not its actual weight. The LCM can also clear obstacles using its small
lasers. The Small laser mounted rearward in the head is used for precision
work/cutting. If two hands are needed for work, the LCM can detach/attach the
bucket as often as needed.

==Variants:==
The only known variant LCM-15b replaces the two small lasers with a medium
laser mounted on the Mech's right torso.

This bucket thing seems a bit strange to me but i see the advantage of putting that bucket with cargo aside instead of dropping that cargo out of normal level 3 cargo holds!
But i think you´ll have to give it some "internal structure" (The bucket itself) like 10% of the bucket + cargo rounded up (your 4 ton bucket will have 0.5 tons of structure and 3.5 tons of cargo).
I wouldn´t call that "bucket" but something like "MTC : Mech-Transportable Container"

With the reappearance of high-tech it would be possible that such "utility mechs" are getting more and more use!
I´ve constructed level 3 utility mechs on my own with ICE´s!Like this!

The bucket is actualy a scoop/shovel, kinda like what you see loading Dumptrucks with dirt, as for it being a \"carried\" container, it is part of the mech\'s over all Design, hence why it takes up crit space in the arm... as for its \"cargo\" rubble is usualy just poured out into a pile, or truck and hauled away.

These are front-end Buckets.

I see! Sorry, didn´t know that this item is called bucket too!
There is some utility equipment in some of the DA mechs that can easily incorporated into (real!) BT! There are even HMPro files for download so you can suck this items into your program without having to play DA!

To first question - I don't believe that it would be lost in obscurity. ComStar would have data concerning this machine and even few of them left in stockpiles.

To Bucket - It should have some weight. Maybe it would use the rules for Buldozer blade in Maximum Tech, but it would weight only 0.5t, because it's moved by arms that are included in the internal structure of the mech.
