==Overview:==
The Counsellor class intelligence ship is special among spacefaring vessels in
that it in only known to exist in rumor. No sightings of the ship have ever
been confirmed, and all militaries of the Inner Sphere deny its existence.

==Capabilities:==
Many stories of the capabilities of the Counsellor conflict in some way or
another, but many agree on most of the details outlined here.

The Counsellor, being 1/16th the size of even the tiny Scout jumpship, is
nigh-invisible on enemy detection screens. Four powerful Guardian ECM
generators protect the ship from planetside passive sensors, and most
space-based active detectors. Dropships and fighters, even flying as close as
30,000 kilometers, are completely blind to the Counsellor's presence.
Warships, however, carry such powerful sensors that distance, small size, and
a unique sensor-baffling hull design are the only defenses the Counsellor
has.

As good as the Counsellor is at hiding, it is infinitely better at spying.
Eight Beagle Probe detection cores gather and sort data from across the 29 AU
(4350000000 Kilometer) scanning range of the ship. Seven dedicated
intelligence "spooks" monitor the signal analysis computer, inputting data
into the intelligence database for storage or later analysis, and pulling up
relevant data from the archives if the need arises.

The entire ship is "protected" from capture by a massive thermonuclear device
in the heart of the vessel. At any time, three officers can activate the
destruct system and completely vaporize the ship in an atomic fireball.

==Deployment==
The Counsellor has never appeared in any official or known unofficial TO&E,
there has never been a confirmed sighting, and the number in operation, if any
at all, is unknown.
