I am puzzled as to why a mech that does not jump is called Jackrabbit. This machine is slow for it's weight class and under armoured. The Arteis equiped LRM 10 does give it decent fire support capacity, and the Medium laser MG combo is acceptable back up weaponry. Could cause problems in a firefigh,t but isexcessivly fragile to do that for long.

Its called Jackrabbit because that's what TRO 3058 says its called...the same source also says that Comstar added Jump Jets when it converted it into the Nexus, so I figured the Jackrabbit didn't have any jets. Missile and ballistic weapons were also mentioned, hence the M.G.s and LRMs.

Good point on the fluff and what it gives about the Jackrabbit, the same thing is found in the ComStar sourcebook. TWIN LRM5s might be better though.

Somewhere I´ve seen a version of the Jackrabbit with 2 SRM-4 and 4 MG.
My personal version has a SRM-4 and a AC/2!
(missile and ballistic!)
Ok, it´s a bit strange but I like it!

You know, that actually works in an odd way; it leaves precisely two tons of armor...the same as the Nexus...hmm

I´m thinking of replacing the SRM by a LRM-5.
Should work better with the AC/2.
If you are forced to use the SRM a oneshot will do because of the armor you´r dead anyway!
