the fifth in the series of tactical armor. the kouma is designed as a high speed interception unit. with the fastest speed yet built into a TA, the kouma is capable of more then 110kph.
armored to the therotical max for its weight class. the main elements are its speed and size. even with max armor, any single hit from a moderate powered weapon, will destroy any single section on the kouma.
while extremely lightly armored, it is hoped its size and speed will keep this unit out of the scrape pill, or used for spare parts.
mounting only a single small laser, this unit proves hard for main line warriors to handel. sharing most of the same flaws as the charger.
its believed that the kouma will provid an essential first strike counter unit.
3057 update:
with the failure of the kouma X, designers began redesign for the kouma X2. replacing the small laser with an extended ranged small laser. while this caused minor heat problems, its hope it will improve the units preformance.
3058 update:
with the combined failures of the kouma X and X2. the teams final managed the impossible, with the geigekiki kouma. while still lightly armored, the geigekiki kouma mounts a medium laser. allowing it to fire while staying at destance from its target.
with introduction of the geigekiki, the X and X2 lines where halted, and refitted to produce the geigekiki. existing kouma's are presently being stripped of parts to use in the geigekiki kouma.
