GR-1 Gremlin

Ton: 30
Structure: Endo 3
Engine: 180 Fus 7
Gyro: 3
Cockpit: 3
Heat Sinks: 10 0
Armor: 105 7

Movement: 6/9/5

Primary Manufacturer/Factory: GM Battlemechs, Kathil

Weapons: Location: Critical: Ton:
TAG H 1 1
Medium Laser RT 1 1
LRM 5 LT 1 2
Ammo LRM (24) LT 1 1
CASE LT 1 0.5
Jump Jet CT 1 0.5
2 Jump Jets RL 2 1
2 Jump Jets LL 2 1
Guardian ECM LT 2 1.5

Additional Criticals:
2 Heat Sinks RT 1 0
4 Endo Steel LT 4 0
2 Endo Steel LA 2 0
2 Endo Steel RA 2 0
6 Endo Steel RT 6 0

Fluff:

Intended for use as a headhunter and for other similar missions, the Gremlin was designed and tested in
secret at Kathil’s GM Battlemechs until a surprise raid made by the last vestiges of the pro-Katherine 8th (can’t
remember unit name, and I can’t find "Flashpoint" either. Rats.) The Kathil CMM was fighting a losing battle until
the first prototypes joined their cause. The pro-Katherine forces were so confused that the offensive was halted, and
they were eventually forced to surrender.

The machine gets its name from the ancient German creature of myth, who was blamed by German forces
in WWII (especially aircraft units) for any unexplainable sabotage. This machine is intended to live up to that
myth, and so far, results have been fitting. However, with funds running tight in the FC, the machine may not be
around other than for a few prototypes. It is possible that other nations might make orders, but that is unknown for
now.

Rough Image: take a Fireball, hack off everything above the shoulders, replace with the head of a Wolf Trap; add weapons
into torso.

BV: 732 Cost: $2,642,640

To much armor, not enough speed or firepower. Ya the TAG may speak large..... only if it's friends are in the vicinity, otherwise it is dead. Drop the LRM and some armor and give it some speed. A SRM 4 is better if you want to load smoke or the likes. Does a better job of hiding you.

AWAD- I would take the Hitman over this.

Might work, but I've already worked out the entire supply chain for it and several other homebrew items. However, would you be willing to accept a possible varient giving it a C3 slave in place of the TAG?

6/8 is acceptable for speed, however the 5 for jumping would bother me. i would do 6/8/6 and work the weapons load to accomidate that. jumping is a very powerful tool by itself, and if used properly can eliminate the need for big nasty guns. maybe eliminate the lrm as was already said and go for more medium range weapons that are lighter, since you can easily close distance with units using lrm's. as for the armor it is always nice to have a good amount of armor when you get hit.
overall, i think its good, and will give it a try.

Where is it's teeth. It only does a max damage of 10 points. And half of that is spread.

What is it going to do in battle? Run away?

You should change the name to "Sir Robin"

It would not even make a good backup for Recon.

But it just might stall an offense. They would be laughing to hard to advance.

But I like to concept. Add some kind of SRM with smokers. increase the speed and armor. And then you have a pest in battle.

nothing like running away behind your opponent and firing everything. it works, and if you keep it up long enough you get the job done, and thats what matters.

Operative word Trick. Most people around here wouldn't be fooled by tricks....Treats on the other hand work really well....
