It looks solid, but the name's already been used twice. There's an aerospace fighter called by that name, and a Star League hovercraft.

Fusion in engine in a Vehicle is one thing, XL is another. I am going to rip that engine out of that tin can and put in a mech worth a shit. Everything screams that XLs are a waste of money, BV, crew, time, transport space in any vehicle. This is true of half the mechs made also. Only a handfull really gain anything worth the risk and other items (I am talking IS, Clanners can just kiss my ass, their stuff rocks..... well it is just better and munchy. Whoa, almost slipped up)

I have to disagree AWAD. Although at first glance it seems that a tank with an XL is a huge waste, if you take time to consider you might think otherwise. The reason XL's are so bad on mechs is because they decrease the mechs chances of suriving considerably, but tanks don't suffer from that. Tanks already have crappy chances for surviving, and since XL's allow for more armor and weapons adding one actually increases its survivability. If there is any place for an IS XL, it seems like the tank is the best choice.

I think the major concerns are cost. You're right, tanks have shitty survival chances, and you just can't up it enough with an XL engine to justify the cost of an engine.

Of course this only applies in a campaign. In a one time match, i'd say bring on the XL engines!

Fine, but I am still right:) No I see your point but why put so much stock on a weapon platform that has so many limitations, plus two chances to crit. No, XL engines do have there uses, a IS vehicle is not one of them. Max Tech rules may be the only thing that makes it margianlly viable.

AWAD- I going to load my LBx and kill all the vehicles I see
