Well not to bad, but drop a ML and SL and add armor. The XL is just screaming to get slagged. But AC on such a light mech is never a great idea. If it moved slow and had armor (no XL) then it is a better idea. Nice try though.
AWAD- XL on light mech less than 8/12 is bad

Personally, if given the choice I'd take a PPC on a light instead of an AC (unless there was a chear and definite reason for the AC, like on the Urbanmech.) You get the same damage as an AC/10 for the tonnage of an AC/2 with ammo. And ammo isn't a concern, since it's an energy based weapon. If I can remember where I put it, I'll post my varient of the Garm as a case-in-point.

Did someone miss the part at the bottom of the posting?
Please tell you did read everything there...if not I will repeat it.
The idea came up AFTER TALKING ABOUT THE IDEA OF MOUNTING AN AUTOCANNON ON A LIGHT MECH AND STILL HAVING A MECH THAT WAS WORTHWHILE TO USE
Now tell me where a PPC would work in that idea?
