Well, more of a combination of mine and my roommates' idea. A new unit, that will star in one, maybe two stories. It's a Fed Sun unit from before the Clans. Primarily used against the Combine in various covert raids, this company is designed around the concept of 'interesting' characters. There's the requisite pyromaniac Firestarter pilot, the suicidal Spider pilot, and the field commander that refuses to leave the cockpit of his Cyclops, ever! They are not the elite, they are not the first line of defense, they are actually quite annoying when you get to know them, they are...

Actually, the guy in the Atlas is relatively normal until he gets in the cockpit. Then he thinks he's Bobo the Clown, and has painted his 'mech to match. I've got all thirteen members thought of, I just need some semblance of a plot to go off of.
