Well, I love uniforms and medals, and judging by the number of Osprey books dedicated to the subject I'm not alone 
Trying to detail my character appearance, I went through my House books and ended up comparing their military fashions.
Wich is more stylish?
My picks:
1)Draconis Combine.
Undoubtedly the most elegant, the best combination of finery and simplicity. Though the boots don't look very military, original, and very comfortable by the look, but I would prefer Steiner jackboots.
Yeah, Kuritans all the way for two reasons:
Black uniforms for Chu-sa and up. Black is cool, and sexy, and menacing. I just love the Nazi stormtrooper look 
Katanas. Do I need to say more?
2) It's a close call between the Lyran Commonwealth and the Free Worlds League.
Mmmm, perhaps the Lyran dress uniform is nicer, but I like the League medals better.
Capellans are ok, and the Fedrats dress uniform sucks! ugh, now I know why I didn't remember it. It looks like a Star Trek jumpsuit! *ack*
Well, it must be said is original, breaking with the same old trousers and tunic concept, and its functional, but damn, one wears a dress uniform to show off, not to work!
And whatever functionality it has is lost with that silly looking sunburst breastplate... it must be bloody uncomfortable to wear, and hot.
The spurs are a nice touch, tough.
Mmmm, we would have to break this into cathegories: dress uniforms, standard uniforms, medals, rank insignia and a free picking of favourite items of clothing and accesories regardless of House. Me for one, like braids and the free-choice cuff links os Kuritan senior officers.

ComStar robes are pretty cool. They can be dignified or mysterious or both if you want. Plus you get to carry a sword while your at it if you're in the ComGuard (if I remeber correctly, that is).

I really have I think for FWL mid-grade rank insignia. The gold stripe is tight
