I'm one chapter away from finishing a manuscript, and I've got ideas for two others.
Does anyone know of a legit publisher that takes amateur work?

I have not found one yet. I have been searching around myself for an artbook publisher and getting frustrated. Good luck. I hope too see your name on book shelves.

Try looking in one of the Sci-Fi magazines that cover amateur stories like Ismoiv or one of those, you can find them in the magazine racks at Borders or Barnes and Noble.
