As a bodyguard for a group of heavy hitting machines it should work, but I wonder if SRM-4s wouldn't be better. Six launchers look nice and the ability to target multiple foes may be handy, but additional heat (okay, not all launchers are going to hit too often) may be annoying if you keep the stealth armor turned on and aiming at so many targets will bring more penalties to hit. That's why I would prefer bigger launchers.
Aside from that, heavy stealth armor should keep the 'Mech save until the enemy is in range and speed should allow it to get be where it is needed.

Actually, I used Streak SRM-2's because I thought they would be much easier for the Cappies to get and maintain (the same reason I used a standard small laser on the Spirit Dancer). I still have a tendency to think of Streak SRM-4's, ER Mediums, etc. as Clan weapons, or at least experimental new tech that is hard to acquire. I just have an irrational bias against any IS weapon that the Star League couldn't make.
Heat should not be a problem unless they all hit (and who would complain about _that_?), and six launchers gives six to hit rolls- even if you need an 10 or 11 you'll still probably manage at least two missiles. And if this mech is within close range of most or all of it's opponents, the pilot will probably shut the Stealth down anyway.

Not these days. Unless the Liao builds 'Mechs from materiel acquired from the rest of Trinity Alliance... well in 3063 it's still possible that something like this will appear. Or at least I think so.

... unless there is a lance of Archers acting as a fire support

A lance of Archers? Wow, I'd be willing to build up some heat to escape that!
I've always been impressed with the Archer- the old 3025 standby still seems pretty competitve even against modern canon designs (or maybe especially against them). Against them, I very much think I'd leave the Stealth Armor on as long as possible.

In larger battles you may want to keep the stealth on. That's why I would rather have the HSs to deal with the heat.

Well, unfortunatly. the Ghost Dancer doesn't handle heat quite as well as it's bigger brother. In a large scale battle, it would have to use cover (or smoke) for long-range protection if it needed to turn the armor off (or the if ECM were knocked out).
It's also certainly possible to spend a round now and then cooling down. I know most people don't like to have all of a mech's weapons idle, but it can dissipate 9 heat by jumping and firing no weapons- the same it builds up from an alpha strike with full jump. Of course, it would be hard to work this out so exactly in combat because of the variable heat output from the Streaks (not to mention possible engine/heat sink hits or fire/infernoes).
