OK, I haven't kept up with the Dark Age and all. But I just read (thanks again to Wiki) That Clan Diamondshark changed it's name back to Clan Sea Fox (their orginal name)
Now, I pride myself on clan lore and all. And although I may get it wrong from time to time. I think most of the time I hit it right on the head (what can I say, I'm a legend in my own mind  )
I really don't see them changing back to their orginal name. Because the Sea Foxes where beaten (and eaten) by the Diamond Sharks. showing they are a more fierce predator. And since the clans pride themselves on who is the strongsest. why would they return a animal who is lower on the food chain. Not to mention that the only Clan the Diamond Sharks despise are the Snow Ravens, who instigated the series of events that lead to the renaming. and they have take every opportunity to slight the Ravens (includeing keeping the name of a animal the Ravens made to mock them). And it really does piss off the Ravens to know that their little pratical joke, backfired so badly
And the only reason ( that I have read anyway) was the fact that the reintroduced the Sea Fox back into the wild. SO? more snacks for the Diamond Sharks.
This is just another reason why I stopped reading the Dark Age series.

Im afraid thats the way it all works. Just some cheap way to add some fluff without doing much research, their doing their best to distinguish themselves from classic battletech, and thus fasa.

There are so many things that I don't understand there (not the problem with translation I'm afraid) that I hibernate in 3067 until something happens with DA. than I'll probably create my own variant of the story and forget about that escapade

Way I see it after 3067 the story is up for grabs and I wont be buying anything from that time frame onward.

I think you can take this principles over to DA-history much easier because if you ignore DA and don´t buy DA stuff you are free to change what you want!

Though I never did finish it... rofl
Got several fun things happening though.
After the FedCom civil war by about 60 or so years Skye finally goes independant.
The rest of the FedCom stays allied, with Peter on one throne and Victor on the other, but with Victor being the overall ruler.
A major war happens between the FedCom and the CC, with several major naval battles in which the CC shows their Elite status in that regard, but the FC overwhelms with numerical and technological advantages.
Several other fun things haopen, but I've not fleshed the story out enough yet.

I like the storyline where the clans invade, take over. rule for a few years, then start fueding among each other. which turns into a war where everything is destoryed and everyone loses.
I call it "End Game, No, Really. It's all gone this time"
Of course I'm still fuming over what they are doing now. I just want them all to...to...have a really bad day

The biggest problem is that the Jihad is KNOWN at the end of operation bulldog-serpent what ever it was. They had surmised that it was another faction that killed Morgan, and they had a pretty good idea there was a problem, and where it started at. At least that was the impression I had gotten.
But the writers decided that when Victor (whom I liked under Stackpools care), couldnt find his ass with both hands a roadmap, and magically decides that the group that killed his friend dont deserve any attention whats so ever.

Yeah, That's a bit out of character for Vic.
When Stackpole was writeing him. You could care about his problems and identify with him. But in the DA, I rather shoot him then read about him.
