Well I was flipping through TR3067 during lunch and I noticed a mech that had the same name as one of my Terran Defense Force mechs...the Bowman.
Now how many folks have made a mech, had it for months or even a few years to findout that there is an offical canon mech with the name you had used out there now?
So what do you do? Keep the name? Hey you had it first. Or do you change it and hope that it don't show up later?
Now who has made a mech, who's stats oddly enough match the ones on a new mech in any of the TRs beyond 3050? A friend had one of his mechs match the Dart from 3055 and he built his mech back in 1990. We thought it was funny...so he simple called it a prototype and that was that.
So let's here some input on this and what do you folks thing about it.

I have a 30 ton light machined that I called the Lynx long before the FASA 55 ton energy hopper came out in TRO 3058. Seeing as how my fan base is rather small and the two machines are from different eras I continue to call my machine the Lynx.

I had a Demon and Lightning way before I knew FASA used the names...

I had a unit named 'Hellfire' until I saw one of the Clan manuals. I had redubbed it 'Crusher,' but now I can't find the stats anywhere.

I had an Apollo design that came out pretty close to the TRO 3055 one.
I also had a design called the Kodiak that had a tendency to suffer engine hits. Along comes TRO 3058 with a design of similar mass called the Kodiak, which coincidentally suffered from engine problems.
Hmmm...

Until Wizkids or Fanpro have a mech named the S**tkicker, I have little to worry about.
4/6/0 Assault, close in fighting. Basically a pair of IS ultra-20s on legs. It does suck though, when I can't even beat a Hollander with it.
