This thing, IMO, is just cannon fodder. It has MASC and an XL engine. It dosen't really have any capabilities that can't be matched by a higher tonnage mech that costs less, mounts more armor and has more survivability, and has a much better weapons suite.

Bear Paw? Isn't that somekind of dounut?

I have to agree with Ares on this. But then, 20 tonners are not easy too design. Pick a task for it. and go with that thought. sometimes a certain task needs a taylored mech. And 20s (Most lights really) are for spoting or recon.

Read? There was something to read?

OOH!! That

Sorry. Did not get that part. In that case, it would make a good training mech.

The the Prime is not bad suited for the task.

But I have a 35 tonner with the same speed but more armor.

(And to be to technical, The clans do not make mechs for training, They use mechs that are no longer battle worthy and would spend to many production points to get it worthy. So they would get it to where it could stand and walk. Then give it a training sibko to learn the basics)

A training mech would not have an XL. They cost too much to mass produce, which is what you'd need to do for viable training mechs.

I'd also bet that they wouldn't waste an omni on a training mission either...

You are correct. They would not make this a training mech

I really need to start reading what I post

You know...i dont think the Clans wrry too much about the building of XL engines. To the Clans the XL is just another mass produced part. But, i doubt they'd slap it up in a trainer. They'd have old std. engines they load intot he training 'mechs cause no matter how many front line pieces of equipment you have, its never enough...

Feral, what your problem is is that you posted WAY too much stuff in a short amount of time. People feel overwhelmed when they look at the designs, it makes them not want to look at any of them, just because there's so many of them! Posting a title would help too, cause maybe some people are only now concerned about attack mechs or whatever. Fluff is nice also, no one just wants to stare at a set of stats.

What does this one do that the Dasher or one of the other lights doesn't already do?

The idea is interesting, giving the GBs their own light Omni, but it really doesn't out do it's compitation IMHO.
