"The fading light casts an eerie glow to the clouds in the blue/green sky. A few stars glisten, and a planet's reflection from the local star dominates the evening sky. The planet below the sky is peaceful and quiet, nothing seems to be disturbing the land here...

This was not the case a year ago...or the year before that. At any given moment in the last 500 years the entire planet was subject to invasions, raids or civil wars. Heroes triumphed, evil faltered, schemers waited for their chance, and factions rose and fell. There was never anything certain here, except that "he" was always near.

The history texts leave out the most important figure in all the years. He was in every battle, he was at every conflict. His name was on the lips of all that fought, and in the final breaths of those that died. He gave meaning to the fight for all sides, and all sides used him as an ally. Though he was never involved in any battle directly, his pressence was felt by all, and spurred on victory and defeat. Without him there was no war at all..."

Excerpt from "The Unholy" by Talen Tseng
Published: TSi & Smith Publishing
First Printing: Unknown

This was an excerpt from the critically acclaimed "The Unholy" by Ex-Mech Jock, Designer and TSi CEO Talen Tseng.

Though the origin of the book is hard to pinpoint, scholars have narrowed it down to 3058, the first few months of TSi's existance, when CEO Talen Tseng was recovering from a LAM accident. The book is an interesting mixture of fact and fantasy, that seems to have come directly from the mind of master creator Talen Tseng. The opening of the book is a surreal examination of the fantasy world "Siralos" and its posistion in the galaxy. In a universe ruled by the chaos of war, Siralos is a beacon of hope. There, knowledge is paramount, and beings from the entire galaxy travel there to learn and study. But knowledge is not the only thing that calls that planet home. Deep beneath the ancient libraries lies a great evil which grows more powerful as the beings on the surface continue to study and knowledge continues to grow. The second part of the story is what we can only assume is a spin on the trials and hardships that Tseng himself must have lived through. Only a person who has lived through the pain of the accounts in the book could describe them so intently.

Of particular interest to its followers are the descriptions of a lush garden planet known only as "Kiros" in the book. A planet so perfect, that the entire known galaxy has agreed never to set foot on it. A travel risks breakin the code and visits the planet...and at the moment he steps foot on it, the galaxy begins to fold in on itself as a tear forms. There is such vivid description and incredible atmosphere created in the telling of the breaking of the universe that many believe Talen has seen the begining of the end of the galaxy...

It is unfortunate, though, that the book has been banned nearly everywhere for its anti-political statements and for its almost parrallel connection to the controlled substance sub-culture. Perhaps in time the book will be made available to those who wish to study it...
