This mech was designed as a 2750 design for an infantry support mech. Yes, yes I know that vehicles are cheaper, but what about when the infantry needs support in the swamp or on the side of a mountain, huh, smartguy?
Anyhow, produced in very limited numbers and used by the Usurper and Star League forces most were expended in combat, along with the the destruction of the production lines in the first succession war. A few examples (mostly in modified form) still exist by 3025. BattleMech Technical Readout

Interesting...this mech would be at home in the arenas of Solaris 7.
I do like your mix of weapons.

Once this mech was designed the thing that surprised me was how high the BV went.

I don't know, but there is something wrong with a 45 ton Mech that goes 3/5/3.....It might be me, of Course...

No faster movement is needed. Infantry can only move 3 max. the jump jets are for supporting jump infantry.

Very intresting HArdware. This works since you places itin the Star Leauge era, when they had tons of specialized mechs. Exterminatior and Hussar come to mind. Srtickly as an infantry support mech, this works well. I can see it following a scout platoon trying to root out hidden infantry. I would give it a secondary vehicle killer as that would be hte biggest problem it may face. Drop one or two MGs and a ML, add an SRM of some sort. This does fine. ALso you may try special ammo, like flechette or inferno.
In an open battle this thing would be in big time trouble. Fine as a garrison mech, or on worlds with insurgant problems. Also I think they would never be assigned ot a regular mech unit. Imagine the shame of a mechwarroir posted to an infantry regiement. Maybe this is what happened to those that barely made it out of the academy or pissed some CO off.

You might have missed the fact that it has three medium lasers already. I gave it three tons of LB ammo specifically for flechette rounds. Great against vehicles.

I think AWAD has come up with a another use, a Punishment Mech. Instead of a desk job, give them this and stick them in with the PBI.

DON'T BE PICKIN' ON URBIES!!!!!!
For what they're supposed to do they are the best at it. It's a light mech other light mechs should learn to fear.

Should be real good against groundpounders. What about clan elementals? It just needs more firepower.
