Ok, I checked my stats from yesterday since there was heavy activity on the forums last night. Here is what I initially discovered. I compared yesterdays stats with sundays.
1) There were 6x as many page hits. That had a lot to do with the 200+ messages that got posted yesterday.
2) Bandwidth only went up 2x as much as the previous day.
Now, this may not mean a lot to you, but it does to me. It means that this board is lightning fast in comparison to the other, and uses a lot less bandwidth to run.
In closing... WOOHOO!!

Yes, the company which hosts my web site runs Linux servers. I'd love to host my own server, but there's no way I could afford it.

Do you have PHPNuke and PHPBaseLib?
My Linux guy here says that you can get more out of PHP using these.

I'm not sure what those are or how they would help me get more out of it. This forum is my first time diving into PHP. I went out last night after you folks started bitching about it and bought a book. I'm on chapter 4 now.

PHP? what kind of drug is that? I have seen it in /php on some sites I go thru, but have no clue what it means.

Well, you'll love this. PHP stands for:
PHP: Hypertext Preprocessor
When it was first written it originally stood for Personal Home Page tools. But as it grew they gave it a new name. Anyone that is familiar to ASP or ColdFusion, PHP is very similar, only better.

ColdFusion might as well be a hoax. I don't think it's too popular and I never see anything that uses it, that I know of.
