*vagabond walks over to the resting band and request they play 4 songs. the leader nods. after 3 minutes they all settle back into there spots... the leader begins plucking on his guitar*

This is for all of those who have lost someone....

I close my eyes, only for a moment, and the moment's gone
All my dreams, pass before my eyes, a curiosity
Dust in the wind, all they are is dust in the wind.
Same old song, just a drop of water in an endless sea
All we do, crumbles to the ground, though we refuse to see

Dust in the wind, all we are is dust in the wind

[Now] Don't hang on, nothing lasts forever but the earth and sky
It slips away, and all your money won't another minute buy.

Dust in the wind, all we are is dust in the wind
Dust in the wind, everything is dust in the wind.

*they play thru Dust in the Wind by Kansasthe song, several of the patrions relaxing and just listening to the music. easily they slip from one song into the next*

Wish I was too dead to cry
My self-affliction fades
Stones to throw at my creator
Masochists to which I cater

You don't need to bother;
I don't need to be
I'll keep slipping farther
But once I hold on,
I won't let go 'til it bleeds

Wish I was too dead to care
If indeed I cared at all
Never had a voice to protest
So you fed me shit to digest
I wish I had a reason;
my flaws are open season
For this, I gave up trying
One good turn deserves my dying

You don't need to bother;
I don't need to be
I'll keep slipping farther
But once I hold on,
I won't let go 'til it bleeds

Wish I'd died instead of lived
A zombie hides my face
Shell forgotten
with its memories
Diaries left
with cryptic entries

And you don't need to bother;
I don't need to be
I'll keep slipping farther
But once I hold on,
I won't let go 'til it bleeds

You don't need to bother
I don't need to be
I'll keep slipping farther
But once I hold on
I'll never live down my deceit

*the mood continueing thru Bother by Stone Sour. As many remember friends and family, some lost to war others time. many of the patrons here because of these reasons, like vagabond himself. the band continues thru to the third song.*

Don't turn away
I pray you've heard the words I've spoken

Dare to believe, over one last time, then I let the darkness cover me
Denied everything, slowly walk away to reel again
On my own

Carry me away
I need your strength to get me through this

Dare to believe, over one last time, then I let the darkness cover
Denied everything
Slowly walk away to reel again
On my own
On my own
On my own
On my own
On my own
On my own

Dare to believe, over one last time, then I let the darkness cover
Denied everything
Slowly walk away to reel again
On my own
On my own

*the group finishes, there heads held low as if in sighlent preyer. finishing the last corders of darkness by disturbed. thats when one of them steps forward and begins singing in the ancient language of his people, the violinist moving to take the lead singing position.*

Love - Devotion
Feeling - Emotion.

Don't be afraid to be weak
Don't be too proud to be strong
Just look into your heart my friend
That will be the return to yourself
The return to innocence.

If you want, then start to laugh
If you must, then start to cry
Be yourself don't hide
Just believe in destiny.

Don't care what people say
Just follow your own way
Don't give up and use the chance
To return to innocence.

That's not the beginning of the end
That's the return to yourself
The return to innocence.

*the crowd is silent as they finish play return to innocencxe by enigma, everyone filled with there own thoughts and emotions. but all enjoying the performance in some way.*

Hey, can I get a new IBC Root Beer over hear please? This one tastes salty suddenly...

Huh? No, there's nothing wrong with my eyes... Dead Fish must be cutting some onions in the kitchen right under the ventilation duct. Yeah...

*Ronin listens to the band some more, and begins to compose haiku on a napkin*

The Major quietly sheds tears at the bar. He lifts his outlandish concoction of IBC Root Beer and AMP to the ceiling, to propose a simple toast. "To fallen comrades, and loved ones."

The Major drains the mug quickly and orders another.

"To fallen comrads", repeats the Jade Dragon as he joins the Major in his toast.

Talen raises his glass to the salute, then walks up and talks to the band for a second. A few of them exchange whispers, and then nod. Talen smiles then runs outside.

A few minutes later Talen walks back in carrying a long case in his hand. Lurch stops him, but Talen whispers to him and Lurch lets him past. Talen walks up to thetable close to the stage and opens the case. A small "hiss" of gas releases as the airtight container releases. Talen reaches in and pulls out a crystal clear guitar. He smiles, and puts the guitar strap around his neck, then connects it to the six string beauty.

He counts off a few beats then the band starts into the Metallica's long and slow ode to the fallen...."To Live is To Die"

After the 9 minute instrumental piece, Talen talks to the band again...and they start another long song...

Seven minutes into some of the oddest guitar and keyboard work ever...Talen steps up to the mic...

"Remember when you were young, you shone like the sun.
Shine on you crazy diamond.
Now there's a look in your eyes, like black holes in the sky.
Shine on you crazy diamond.
You were caught in the crossfire of childhood and stardom,
blown on the steel breeze.
Come on you target for faraway laughter,
come on you stranger, you legend, you martyr, and shine!

You reached for the secret too soon, you cried for the moon.
Shine on you crazy diamond.
Threatened by shadows at night and exposed in the light.
Shine on you crazy diamond.
Well you wore out your welcome with random precision,
rode on the steel breeze.
Come on you raver, you seer of visions,
come on you painter, you piper, you prisoner, and shine!"

Talen continues playing, and after a few more moments of instruments, he steps back to the mic and starts playing a smooth, soft tune. A few seconds later the other guitarist joins in.

"So, so you think you can tell Heaven from Hell,
blue skies from pain.
Can you tell a green field from a cold steel rail?
A smile from a veil?
Do you think you can tell?

Did they get you to trade your heroes for ghosts?
Hot ashes for trees?
Hot air for a cool breeze?
Cold comfort for change?
Did you exchange a walk on part in the war for a lead role in a cage?

How I wish, how I wish you were here.
We're just two lost souls swimming in a fish bowl, year after year,
Running over the same old ground.
What have we found?
The same old fears.
Wish you were here..."

Both guitars stop...and wind starts to blow. The bass player lets a few "bum bum"s off every few seconds. The weird guitar/piano stuff comes back, and Talen steps up again.

"Nobody knows where you are, how near or how far.
Shine on you crazy diamond.
Pile on many more layers and I'll be joining you there.
Shine on you crazy diamond.
And we'll bask in the shadow of yesterday's triumph,
sail on the steel breeze.
Come on you boy child, you winner and loser,
come on you miner for truth and delusion, and shine!"

Talen steps down and salutes the band, then about faces and saultes the bar and gril. He then looks up and salutes heaven

...Shine On You Crazy Diamond.....

*Kage moves out of his booth and goes to the AV room. Tapping Henry carefully on the shoulder (as he is hunkered over a circuit board from the pinball machine)*

"Any chance you could arrange for that Karaoke machine I brought in too fail?"

"I've got a great Fed-Com Rally game I could replace it with..."

He fixed it Fast.... The Weird guy in the White coat's spray killed it earlier... I knew it would to good to be true.

Give me a Moment or two, and I'll see what i can do.....

While I share the Feeling of Loss, It's to Maudlin for me now. Maybe later...

To all that have gone before....
