So i want to share my Silver Bullet GR house rule
We didn't want to have just another LB-X cluster style ammo and didn't need another individual weapon for this.
So we made "Silver Bullet" an additional ammo type for the standard GR and changed the way it works.
We made the individual submunition "bigger":
The GR with "Silver Bullet" ammo rolls on the 5 column of the cluster hits table with each hit doing 3 points of damage.
The GR is now able to switch ammo and gets -1 to hit and flak-ability with this ammo (the last two are still somewhat debated in our group).
We now are transfering that to all other gauss weapons:
The HGR uses the 5 column with 5 points of damage per hit.
The iHGR uses the 4 column with 5 points of damage per hit.
The LGR uses the 4 column with 2 points of damage per hit.
The Magshot has 1D6 infantry damage and no damage against armored (including Battle Armor) units similar to the clan AP-gauss rifle.
What du you think of that? _________________ Reality is where the Pizza-man comes from!'Gucken, petzen, verpissen!' (Look at it, squeal it, get the hell away from it!) – Motto of the recon troops'Artillery doesn´t know friend or foe! They only know worthwhile targets!‘ – Kuritan Infantrist

I don't know, I like the Gausses working the way they are. But that's just me. _________________ Mordel Blacknight - Site Administrator

This isn't the Gauss, its the gauss variant from unbound or some such book. it a gauss weapon that worked like a LBX cannon but eliminated the solid shot. I never understood why it was its own separate weapon system instead of an ammo option. _________________ one must work hard to cultivate the mind and body. and one must always cultivate the mind.

Yes, it was originally from the Outbound book but there is an updated version in Tactical Operations. I didn‘t like it either way and thought an optional ammo type would be a much better solution. _________________ Reality is where the Pizza-man comes from!'Gucken, petzen, verpissen!' We have more than enough different weapon types. Ammo options are much more easily tested. _________________ The JadeDragon
