It appears many of the usual GMs for TotalCon won't be attending, so in order to have games in every slot (4 hours long), it seems those that are going will need to run more games. So, does anyone have any home-grown scenarios they want to post so we can try them? Anything more than company on company is out, and even that might be too large. Eight vs eight would be perfect. _________________ www.210sportsblog.com

Dragon's Gate:
OPFOR: 4 Dragon mechs, GM's choice
Objective: The party must escape through a narrow (one hex wide) opening in hills, an opening guarded by the lance of Dragon mechs
Note: The objective does *not* require the party to destroy the Dragon mechs, just escape them. Bonus points, if not a small reward, to anyone who figures that out.
edit - in case it's not apparent, I meant for this to be a "training" scenario for brand-new players, the goal being to teach creative and lateral thinking when it comes to completing objectives. _________________ "I wish I could write as mysterious as a cat." -Edgar Allen Poe"I knew there was something special about you, but I never realized you were really a cat." All About That Base (No Trouble):
When the OPFOR moved into a particular region, a popular musician was overnighting in a nearby small town. She has been trapped in this town since then, and the commander of the nearby OPFOR base has been forcing her to put on performances every night.
At about 1800 local, all but a skeleton crew - mostly people on punishment detail - leave the base for the town. As a result, even though the base has been in place for a few weeks now most of the buildings are still temporary and most of the defenses haven't been completely built.
As if this wasn't foolish enough, a narrow drainage canal runs near the site of the base, with an opening in the canal large enough for mechs to come through.
The attackers in this mission get a one-round "surprise" attack to reflect their having been able to successfully pop up out of the drainage canal right next to the base.
However, the attackers get to choose their placement ahead of time (without the attackers knowing where they are) and have the benefit of what defenses *are* active.
(Once the attackers are engaged with the defenders, a distress signal will be sent out that causes the forces in town to return, where they'll fall into a trap. Meanwhile, commandos will free the town. As a result, the defenders don't know that they don't have any reinforcements coming.) _________________ "I wish I could write as mysterious as a cat." -Edgar Allen Poe"I knew there was something special about you, but I never realized you were really a cat." Parkour Brothers:
Two spies have obtained critical information, and are now running through a city to get to a rendezvous point.
The party is supposed to meet them at the rendezvous point to pick them up, but the OPFOR has figured out what's going on and is sending forces to intercept.
Note that both spies are running through the city separately. _________________ "I wish I could write as mysterious as a cat." -Edgar Allen Poe"I knew there was something special about you, but I never realized you were really a cat." Wolfwood to a random cat (Trigun)

Green And Mold:
A bored senior officer has gotten into the habit of inviting themselves along on various training missions. This makes the perfect opportunity for an ambush.
Defenders - one veteran to elite senior officer in a heavy or assault mech, one regular to veteran instructor in a medium or heavy mech, and the rest as green recruits in light to medium mechs.
Attackers - all regular in fast, mobile light to medium mechs
The senior officer and their mech are the top targets, but the instructor and their mech are secondary in that it'll still impact training. The rookies are "targets of opportunity". _________________ "I wish I could write as mysterious as a cat." -Edgar Allen Poe"I knew there was something special about you, but I never realized you were really a cat." I'm looking for scenarios that you've written and played, not scenario ideas... _________________ www.210sportsblog.com

Okay here is one I ran at a Con back in 99.
Fed-Com Force:
(All TRO3050 mechs as listed from the book not varints.)
Team Wild Cat
2x ENF-5D Enforcers (P:5 G:4)
1x CES-3R Caesar (P:4 G:4)
1x JM6-DD JagerMech (P:3 G:3)
Vs
19th Deiron Regulars Fire Lance
2x DRG-5N Grand Dragons (P:4 G:3 and P:4 and G4)
1x WFT-1 Wolf Trap (P:4 G:4)
1x KTO-21 Kintaro (P:3 G3)
The Wild Cats mission was to raid the local Tandi Computer complex, steal a hard drive and then get off planet. Secondary objective was to also attack the local university and destroy the computer science buildings.
19th DR was to there to protect the place.
All buildings have a CF of 50 points.
The Tandi complex has 6 buildings arranged in horse shoe patter with light woods around the complex and two pave roads circling it.
The near by campus has 14 buildings. Light trees and a small lake.
I set the game to for 15 turns. Average turn count was 10.
Two play tests had the Wild Cats winning one and losing one. _________________ Karagin Only the dead have seen the end of war. - Plato
