Wow, sore loser if I ever saw one.
You were the larger target and he got all of your kill points. Far more points than he would have got just going for Jymset... |
Please reread what I posted. Thanks. _________________ www.210sportsblog.com

Here's where I believe Pa was wrong in going after chihawk. Yes, he's definitely the bigger target. The issue is the amount of points jymset is ahead. There comes a time when bigger targets come second to getting the guy running away in points out so he can't accumulate any more.
Now, having said that, chihawk and I both agree that shooting at him was not that bad of a thing, and I could see it. He was definitely going to get more points shooting chihawk because of the BV difference. But I think we both also agreed there was no reason not to throw a punch at jymset when it was all said and done. I think truces are fine, but this type of game, at the stage we are, is not one of them.
Just my opinion, and it's easy for me to second guess and criticize every move you fools make as the GM. _________________ Mordel Blacknight - Site Administrator

Wow.
No matter what is said and done after this, my fun has just died completely.
Pa Weasley is the only one to put me on my back and now he's allied to me? Of course, that's what our inert damage pinata would say, but your?
I haven't talked wiith Pa Weasley about any of my turns at all, apart from a single friendly "get out of my way" half a dozen turns back, where we shot at each other anyway. Even before last turn, he was the main person to do meaningful damage to me all game apart from that one kick that I saw coming a mile away and deliberately chose to eat.
To apply a German proverb, a blind man on crutches could see who Pa_Weasley was going to shoot at. chihawk beat him by a mere handful of points in the final of last game. He's made a (conscious?) choice of being not very graceful graceful towards many of his fellow gamers ever since web-BT started. This would be my turn to subtly hint at maybe trying to learn something from this game. Oh right, it's already too late for that.
Personally, I'd also point out something about there being a difference between not trying very hard and not trying at all. chihawk's move this turn surprised me even less than his inertia over the past few turns. I was clearly waiting for him. Pa_Weasley forgot to submit movement last turn and would have jumped right in front of my guns that I had casually aimed at that hex anyway, had chihawk chosen to not try at all over clearly not trying very hard. Would have worked out way better for me, and I'd have held back my fire at Pa_Weasley just as much as in prior turns.
Mordel, I have a huge urge to submit a "I eject" as my movement. I'll see how I feel about it after I've walked away from this a day or two. If I haven't submitted anything else by Friday, please use this. _________________ "Rear armour is defeatist!" - unknown Kuritan Mechwarrior

I have no problems being shot by Pa (I'm the highest BV 'mech and had lots of structure showing so I'm worth a lot of points). My big issue is him not punching Jymset. The number Pa needed to hit is irrelevant (it was only 5, BTW), because there's no penalty for missing.
Essentially he threw away an attempt at free points. _________________ www.210sportsblog.com

I sincerely hope that's not true! What I said was not some kind of a shot at you or even Pa. It was a comment about how I felt passing on points was not a wise decision. That's all. This is just a game. Nothing done or said here about tactics should be taken this seriously. We all play differently. We all think differently. _________________ Mordel Blacknight - Site Administrator
