BattleMech: Gladiator GLD-2-TR

Comment: I love your fluff!!
Great story and I like the visual aids such as the armor design.
This design is slower than others of it's weight class, however it also out guns those of it's weight class. The large laser and AC/5 give it respectable long range firepower while the SRM 6 and medium laser pair up for a good back up system. The machine guns are good for getting those annoying pinging shots while close up and their placement allows their firing whilst punching your opponent. The armor is slightly heavier than other mechs of your weight class so allows it to soak up the damage while it closes on the faster units. It's jumping capacity allows this unit to make a great city fighter when combined with it's weapon load out.

BattleMech: Renegade REN-1B
Rating: 4.00
Comment: I like this design. It has tremendous close in firepower for it's weight and with it's jump jets it make an excellent city fighter. Designs like these will be needed for help in quelling some worlds in the choas marches.
The two SSRM 6's possess a great potential for unit take down and their conservatism combined with two tons of ammo help this mech survive longer in a battle, especially if it's supply lines get severed. The mix of medium class lasers adds a certain unknown element to this unit by keepeing the enemy guessing on what your weapon load really is. And all the weapons are good for infantry slaughtering.

BattleMech: Lumberjack PBN-1
Rating: 4.00
Comment: This mech has a good long range combo. The ERPPC and the gauss rifle combine to give knockdown weapons at range and the trio of mediums help to continue that when near the the minimums. Add to that the TSM and a hatchet! That makes for much fun for a tango! While slow for it's weight class in the newer era, the jumpjets are an added plus. Can you imagine a jumping overheaded swing with an ax? Ouch!

BattleMech: Leprechaun Prime
Rating: 2.00
Comment: I love the mobility on this design!!!
It's very fast AND can jump long distances. Even though it only jumps 8 instead of 9 that is still a very respectable distance. However. The armor is woefully underemployed. With the ammo its carrying be glad that clan CASE systems are free. I think if you added a varient with no ammo weapons this would be a less exlosive design.

BattleMech: Roadrunner
Rating: 3.00
Comment: Nice fluff. I like the large laser on a Locust. It has good armor for it's size and the speed, while slower than Locusts, is faster than most other mechs.

On a side note, I believe the armor rating is messed up. 3 tons should yield 48 armor points not 41..so you get more armor than you think.

BattleMech: JagerMech JM7-Z
Rating: 4.00
Comment: An excellent upgrade to an experimental design. I like the continuity of this design and the JM7-X. Kinda like the way the older designs were done. By increasing the armor the survivability has been improved a lot. The upgrade to ER medium lasers gives the JM7-Z better back up weapons than the JM7-X. Also the relocation of the lasers to the CT gives the mech some equipment remaining should the ammo explode.

BattleMech: Champion CHP-KS2A
Rating: 4.00
Comment: This is an excellent design. The storyline only adds to this mech. I like the firepower, accuracy, and staying power of this mech. With the PPC and lasers coupled with the TC you get continuous fire that is accurate. Add to that the streak system which is itself accurate and also easy on the ammo. While a lot of alpha strikes could over heat this mech it is a relatively cool runner. The 10.5 tons of armor is respectable for this weight class, and the mobility is about average for it's time period.

BattleMech: Phoenix Hawk PHX-2
Rating: 3.50
Comment: That is just wicked man.
The TSM is a great fit for this design. With all the heat generated you only have to watch for shutdowns and that can be regulated with a good pilot. Good refit of a good design.

BattleMech: Crockett CRK-5003-0
Rating: 4.00
Comment: The Crockett is an excellent training mech which it was designed to be. It was designed to train pilots on the nuances of assault class mechs, just as the Chameleon was designed for medium training. It runs hot to teach new pilots how to nurse the heatscale and it's jumpjets will teach anyone in a crash course how to fly an 85 ton brick. I't armor is thick enough to allow the greenhorns time to learn in combat. And the weapon loadout is a good mix of different systems so a new pilot could learn energy, missles, and ballistics in one vehicle. Good choice for any academy.

BattleMech: Tigres TGR-1MB
Rating: 4.50
Comment: Lethal is right. While the speed isn't top notch it's comparable to equivilently weighted mechs. The Pulse lasres combined with the TC is a nasty combo. It will basically have better aim shooting while jumping than other units do standing still. While full jumps combined with alpha strikes will push this mechs heat dissappation past it's ability to cope it shouldn't be too hard to keep it cool during prolonged combat.
