================================================================================================
Overview:
Created as a "sister chassis" to the Hræsvelgr, the Lammergeier is an opportunistic hunter
built to catch unsuspecting enemies with volleys of long range fire. Its production was
kickstarted by taking heavy inspiration from what seemed to be a destroyed 'Mech prototype
that was uncovered by the Laughing Vultures on Angell II; while the data they recovered
showed extensive design flaws, like the misaligned cockpit making ejection exceedingly
difficult, it had enough promise to warrant a second lease on life.

Capabilities:
Equipped with 16.5 tons of Stealth Armor and built on an endo-composite chassis, the
Lammergeier (or Furiae, for the Inner Sphere market) is meant to strike hard from a
favorable angle when its opponents least expect it. While it has received scorn from the
newly reborn Jade Falcons, being a machine that relies on "dirty tricks" to get an
advantage, its usefulness whenever it was deployed alongside their new touman begrudgingly
saw it earn its rightful spot as a headhunter. While expensive due to the use of an armored
cockpit and a compact gyro, it boasts a decent amount of pod space at 30 tons, meaning it
can use several different loadouts effectively and giving enterprising Mechwarriors ample
room for experimentation. The fixed partial wing system makes its mission profile obvious,
but the decision to not mount jump jets directly onto the chassis was heavily pushed by the
chief engineer from D&K Creation Studios in charge of the project to "maximize tactical
flexibility, and because that shit is stupid".

Deployment:
This is the BASE chassis, go forth and don't look back.

    BEARING THE PALE FIRE!

Variants:
Created to be a combination of command and control unit, as well as a missile boat, the
Lammergeier B is focused around two simple pieces of equipment. One is the center torso
mounted four tons worth of communications equipment, for better battlefield control on top
of amplifying lance and star wide communications, as well as the paired LRM 20s mounted in
the arms, paired with Artemis V fire control systems for maximal long ranged accuracy.
Keeping these ammunition hungry launchers fed are four tons total of CASE II protected
ammunition in the side torsos, while to allow the machine to do some kind of non ammunition
reliant damage as well as to ward off lighter machines, two MVSPs are mounted, one apiece
    per side torso.

When asked later why the design does not mount jump jets, the chief engineer of D&K Creation
Studios just looked at the questioner funny before replying "Well, you don't really want
your missile boat to jump most of the time, and this is more for greater battlefield control
with the ability to contribute regardless of range, than it is for head hunting. Look,
sometimes you need what every other configuration will do in headhunting, and sometimes you
need a stealth armor'd 'mech to sit in the backline slinging out LRMs and telling everyone
    else what to do."
