Overview:
    When word initialy came in to a comission from the now resurgent Jade Falcon forces offered
    to D&K Creation Studios, the company was initially thrilled by the offer. A new heavy
    omnimech, one intended to hold the line of battle as an anchor unit for combined arms and to
    go the bare minimum standard speed of 65 KMH at a run, why that was an easy ask for the
    admittedly suffering from success company, especially with the other offers of production
    liscenses in exchange for their own liscened omnimechs, in this case the Zagreus, the
    Vidofnir, and the Thunderbolt omnimech.
    
    Then came the devastating attacks on the Raven Alliance, one of their new homes. From this
    outflow of information of the horrors now taking place across the entire inner sphere, of
    taking place in their own back yard, and of more attacks being planned by the thought
    extinct menace, they had to adapt to the new battlefields that would take place. Then came
    word from Savannah. Of the rapid flight from a resurgent Word of Blake force from a majority
    of their technicians in service with Sequere Nos. And then word was given of the stubborn,
    heroic survivors of those battered few. Those brave FWL, Capellan, Sequere Nos, even those
    brave Wolf forces that threw themselves into the gauntlet to desperately hold that line on
    Savannah, of those few D&K technicians that stayed to repair and even give their lives there
    on that far flung world.
    
    The plans, for what is now known as the Hræsvelgr, changed. Gone was the expensive, fast
    'mech originally planned. In its place was a rugged, inexpensive, easy to repair machine.
    Gone was the ferro-fibrous armor and XL engine to propel the 'mech to speeds of 84
    kilometers an hour. In their place, eighteen and a half tons of ballistic-reinforced armor
    and a standard 300 rated fusion engine to allow the machine to keep to fighting to the last,
    and whether artillery fire like a champion. Gone were the fifteen engine mounted heatsinks,
    dropped down to twelve to allow for the engine size difference thanks to dropping the speed.
    But now added was a compact gyro, to allow the machine to mount more weaponry in its central
    torso to continue fighting when many other machines will die. The only thing that indeed
    remained consistent throughout its creation was its endo steel chassis, though with the now
    added ballistic armor, many structural changes had to be made.
    
    What was originally a more elegant and refined vision more akin to a classical bird of prey,
    now instead turned into a treading, plodding machine of death that resembles something like
    the bigger birds of Old Terra. Those that show their ancient raptor and more sauropodian
    ancestry better. Still elegant, in a way, but in their more primal sense of wanting to hurt
    their enemies. One that will last throughout the battle, and show why it was named after
    something in mythology better known as the Corpse Eater. For at the end of the battle, that
    will be all that is left of its enemies to consume.

Capabilities:
    The D variant was created with two similar roles in mind that then were forced to merge
    together into a rather nightmarish amalgamation. To either sit at range and snipe and
    skirmish with impunity, or to hunt down vehicle and infantry assets and punish them with
    righteous fury. To do these assigned tasks, the weapon loadout of the Jotun is deviously
    simple. All weaponry is to be mounted in the center torso or the head, two plasma cannons
    fed by three tons of total ammunition, with two extended range large lasers mountd besides
    them for longe range striking ability. To help try and manage the heat load of such
    weaponry, three more double heat sinks are mounted in the chassis bringing the total number
    up to fifteen. While it cannot alpha strike its weaponry with such meager heat sinking, it
    can still do its job well enough to not need to worry about always stagger firing its
    weaponry shoould targets of oppurtunity find their way into its crossfire. And to help it in
    its job of being a monstrous zombie machine, both arms are equipped with hand pods to allow
    it to pick up and throw anything in its way, as well as to punch its way out of a brawl.
