I see.
just keep in mind that the # listed are "ideal" not operational, anyting from 6 to 20 mechs can form a "company". An additional sort lance would only make a Company a Reinforced Company, perhaps a Short Pursuit Lance with a GRF-1N, ASN-21 & either (VLK-QA or JVN-10N) - just sayin' keep me in mind

I will keep it in mind. Pre-mission we were looking at a 15 mech company as we had 5 players, but one had to drop. I will re-examine after this mission.

I think the more the merrier. As Vagabond said, we'll revisit after this mission. Additionally, I've been meaning to start up another Play-by-Web game for quite some time. So keep an eye out for that starting up sometime in May. That will offer another opportunity for you.

turtle? I see nothing with speed <6, a Banshee S would be slightly slower but what firepower  - The E isn't as bad as most people make it though it isn't the best (as is true of any AC-5 platform) - if allowed to mod I would drop the AC-5 for a 2 and strip a few of the redundant HS for a few ML for close combat, you still have 2 LR shots, a 10pt blast and a plinker, but also have decent close combat capability.

| Sorry for crossing the streams a bit. I was joking with Mordel about when I used the Great Turtle in a previous PBEM tournament he hosted here a while back. It was a beast that wouldn't die until everyone else ganged up on it. It didn't do that much damage in return though, but it was funny just soaking up all that damage until it finally fell, and then everyone else went back to the grand melee.

That's one reason I love my namesake, the Last FASA run tournament I was in, it was a free-for-all, pick any non-clan from any book (pre-Phoenix post '58 at the time) so everyone was picking all these new tech mechs and the GM came to me and asked what I wanted, I said "MAD-4A." It confused him a minute, isn't that one of the old 3025, "yep" but wouldn't you like a newer,,, "nope MAD-4A." he said "well I think we have one around here somewhere." dug through and found one, and I had my mini waiting. 51 turns later, after duking it out with a Thunder Hawk, I'm missing an arm but otherwise intact, he's holed all across and the other remaining mech, a Stealth, lands next to him. the TH takes the opportunity to fire at the little guy and puts 2 GR Center Torso (better him than me) the Stealth sends an SRM into the TH's open Side Torso, crit GR, and I'm all alone, still standing, talk about absorbing damage!
