I have been talking to a friend lately about he and his twin brother's problems with simulator sickness. So now I am doing an informal poll just to see what you guys deal with...

I get sick with any of the action games. First person shooters, racing games, etc. Anything with lots of movement in them can cause me to feel a little sick after a little while.

The odd thing is that when I play with someone else, I'm usually OK. For example, I played Operation Dessert Storm by myself for a while, and after just 30 minutes of play, I would start to feel ill. However, I would play with my brother, each controlling a different set of people, and I could play for hours with no problem.

So I don't know what the heck is wrong with me. Smile

One common situation is that the more immersed in a game the person is, the less likely they are to be sick, or the longer it takes. You might be focusing on the game more when you are playing with someone?

Maybe.

I've never gotten motion sickness from a game. Even Prey, which had many stomach-churning sections, never bothered me.

I've never gotten motion sickness from a video game.

Some have been so bad I wanted to throw up, but that's a different story. Laughing

On a normal computer, none.

Once rode a giant IMAX ride with moving seats in Texas. But that doesn't count.

Really late at night though, my eyes can swim while playing any game.
