Comments on what? My company is set up the way I want it (with the exception of a 'mech or two), so I'm happy.

Okay, what precisely is the contract for? Retainer, with specific objectives to be negotiated later? Garrison?

Retainer and Garrison. Basically they are primarily there to help the Kell Hounds garrision the ARDC, but can be sent away on missions as if they were a house unit. Good question

I didnt pick one yet
Wanna throw me your thoughts (everyone can...)
And I'll see what I decide. Remember this is still a WiP (Work in Progress) so I've only got general outlines for a lot of the stuff.

My suggestion is the planet Deia. It would put us within one jump of 22 friendly planets (according to my 3057 map), and 4 clan-held worlds. Allowing for both the ability to respond quickly to any intrusion, and a chance for clanner raids (good combat experience and clan salvage/prisoners are possible).
In case you want to know, the friendly worlds are Clermont, Blue Hole, Chahar, Kookens Pleasure Pit (who named that one?), Pasig, Mkuranga, Babaeski, Machida, Zhongshan, Mahone, Mississauga, Blumenort, Great X, Yeguas, Morges, Sargasso, Santana, Zanderij, Esteros, A Place, Atocongo, and Bountiful Harvest.
The Clan worlds are Goat Path, Aiyina, Parakoila, and Antares.
P.S. What kind of aerospace and transport assets does the unit have? Infantry forces? Has the unit gotten its' hands on any of the more common powered suits?

Ok, I'll take a look at my maps and decide if thats a good call.
Aerospace assets are an Overloard and Leopard DS, both pretty old but in good condition. However we have no fighters at all, as our Aerospace company was demolished when we fought CJF during the clan wars. We possess no JumpShips.
Infantry is on the roster gooby
No powered suits as of yet, but they are looking into getting some if they can.

Assuming this is a reference to the novel DRT and the concurrent contract system, described therin.
I haven't actually decided yet, but since we are on a retainer that allows the Arc Royal government to send us pretty much anywhere its kinda a moot point. They can already send us on an attack. Its just that our current assignment is garrison.

Two motorized infantry platoons? I would bump that up to a reinforced company. Remember that not only are these guys going to be fighting on the battlefield, but are responsible for the security of our base (protecting it from saboteurs and the like).

Well, at this point the unit has a training cadre with 4 AeroSpace Fighter pilots and 2 full companies of infantry in training. They provide the security detail. Before the cadre was formed the unit had to hire security forces.

That number of dropships leaves us with the ability to project 40 'mechs, but none of our vehicles or infantry forces. It also leaves 16 'mechs planet-bound. Will these forces be a sort of "home guard" unit?
